It just wakes Roo up every time :( I've put the radio on in the hope he'll sleep through.

I'm having a very indulgent evening, laying on the sofa, eating popcorn, under the blankie watching a chick flick. I'm watching I dont know how she does it, i was kind of hoping it would inspire me to do more! It's not really happening!!!

Ooh, don't think i've seen that one??

Hope Roo stays asleep now for you. I need to get organised - made a start with downstairs today. Although the dog has trashed it already with muddy paws!!!!! Grrrr!!!! x

Ok just finished talking to OH, if I could have thrown the laptop out of the window I would have done, god that boy does my head in sometimes. He doesn't really understand how difficult it is trying to juggle keeping a 4 bedroom house filled with too many toys and far too much furniture respectable as well as looking respectable myself and caring for a baby that isn't even one yet!!!!! Consequently I have told him that he can look after roo one day including meal times and bed and I will sort and throw away and tidy my stuff and then the next day I will look after roo, as per usual and he can do whatever. So basically I win, he has to look after roo for a change whilst I do some much needed sorting, which I have actually been wanting to do for ages! I feel like being that boy of the simpsons and going Ha Ha out loud.

Basically I need to sort all of the kitchen cupboards, along with all my books and the freezer/s and the utility, I think we might need a skip all the crap that needs throwing away. I also need to go through the drawers in both the kitchen and dining room, sort out under the stairs. sort out both settles, the chest in the lounge, my ebay stuff, roos toys, and thats just downstairs.

Upstairs, I need to sort out airing cupboard, sort out my clothes, shoes all the drawers, under the bed, both bedside cabinets, I need to deep clean the en suite, and sort out the toiletry chest (yes we have enough to fill a chest!) Roos room needs a good clean and stuff putting away. The landing needs to be devoid of clothes, the bathroom also needs deep cleaning and the drawers sorting.

The spare room is a mammoth task, filled with far too much of my clothes and stuff, along with paperwork and shoes and maternity clothes etc etc, a huge charity shop bag is obviously needed! Annnnd I think that's it. oh and sort out paperwork. So yes..... an awful lot to do.

I'm going to try and make a little start tomorrow:
    2 loads of washing
    move ebay stuff
    clean bathroom
    hang up all clothes.
move pile of rubbishy paperwork from lounge

although it doesn't seem a lot, that will probably take up most of the day, in between looking after Roo.

Think I might call in to t£sco and pick up some extra thick black bags to put stuff in......

Good on you lovely. Don't worry my hubby is the same, moans about mess and randomly picks on something of mine but omits to see the mess that is his!!!! Also because I work from home most days I think he sees me as being home all the time where as in reality I have to work at least 8 hours of the day minimum, normally about 9 hours sat at my desk....but oh I am super woman and can do it all! lol! Rant over ;)

I tend to start on one room, do it completely until i'm satisfied it's done and then work on the next. I find if I do little bits all over the place then it's never ever done 100% and I get annoyed :rotfl:

Good luck with your list for today. xx

Ok well I have started the sorting with gusto.

I had a plan and moved some of roos toys upstairs on the landing and closed the stairgates and most bedroom doors apart from the room I was working in, and..... he happily played!!! I can't believe it, wish I'd thought of it before, although it was a right pain traipsing his toys upstairs!

But he is currently asleep, but so far today I have:

Washed one load of washing and hung on line.
    Put another wash load in
Sorted some of the mess in the garage
Chucked a few things away in the kitchen cupboards (just did this whilst waiting for Roo's breakfast to cook/cool)
Started on the spare room, which has involved, putting all my summer clothes away, sorting all the mammoth pile of clothes into sortable piles. I've started on my desk and have thrown away 3 diaries! Haven't used one of them god knows why I had 3!

Unfortunately I can't just stick to one room, as roo is sleeping I cant carry on with the spare room as it would make too much noise, so am in the bedroom now and am currently sorting out the toiletry chest. Seriously OH has soooo much!!! He was complaining that all my stuff was in the way and he couldn't see what he had, erm..... to my 4 showergels, he has 8 and to my 4 tiny roll on deodorants, he has about 12 huge spray bottles, honestly I think he has OCD!!

Right best stop chatting, more sorting required :)

    Hi,

Sorry i haven't popped in for a while.

Hope your OH manages to realise how hard it is to look after a LO and do any sort of housework etc. My OH always makes joking comments like mummy doesn't know what a hoover is...thanks! I managed in nap times this weekend to clean bathrooms, fridge and the glass doors and he didn't even notice...

Good luck with all your sorting today!

thanks wendz, lovely to see you. Men just don't understand do they.

Well the whole of the upstairs now looks like a bomb site, unfortunately I'm one of these that can't just do one room at a time..... but I've got lots of things to chuck out which is encouraging :) I'm enjoying it, although trying to keep roo entertained is proving difficult!

ok just stopped for lunch but am ready to carry on :)

Have unearted a huge pile of ironing though :(

But on a brighter note I've found a load of dvds etc that I think I'll see if I can put on music magpie, every little helps I guess.

Have nearly a full bin liner of recycling and of rubbish, So I feel like I'm sort of getting somewhere, think I need to hoover now really, keep finding wee beasties crawling out from underneath things, shudder!!

Ooh, theraputic cleaning in your house today Missy! :D

I forgot about the one room and little one options, lol! Guess my time will come with that. Although i'm used to stairgates as put the pooch in kitchen when i'm cleaning so she doesn't create a mess around me.....not sure that'll go down so well with a baby. Think the neighbours may have something to say if I leave the baby on the kitchen floor whilst I go about my way cleaning the house :rotfl:

Sounds like you've got loads done. I'm tackling the upstairs this evening after a walk (exercise) with friend.

Good luck with the rest of the day xx

Hmmm I seem to be doing an awful lot of moving stuff from one room to another....... Not really that productive. But I have sorted both bedside cabinets and under the bed, along with the toiletry chest, Roos wardrobe, gone through all my cosmetics, put my summer clothes away, erm along with chucking loads away that's it really. I do feel like I'm achieving things though!
