  • My sister and I bought one of these each at the Vitality Show in the spring... and all I can say is that "No No" is a good name for it!

When I tried to use it it didn't get rid of any hair, but instead burnt my leg! My sister's one actually made her bleed. I should add that neither of us have particularly thick or "difficult" hair.

I really can't recommend it at all, and to be honest we both feel rather silly for having wasted such a lot of money cos we got caught by the sales spiel.

    Hope this helps!

There is no machine that can be licenced for home use that is going to remove hair permantly and the NONO doesn't make that claim, only that after prolonged use hair regrowth may be finer and perhaps sparser. But then any hair removel will have that effect if done often enough
  • I had my first session of laser hair removal at the end of October and have to say its the best thing I have ever spent my money on.
I had bikini and underarms done and even though I had very rapid regrowth after shaving, epilating and waxing previously the laser seems to have done the trick. After just 1 session both areas have not needed anything at all since, in fact Im having to cancel my next appointment as there is nothing for them to zap!
If anyone has an unwanted hair problem I would def recomend it even if you can only afford one session if you get results like I have it will be worth it!
Oh and I didn't find it painful at all the worst bit was the embarassment factor of getting bits out in front of a technician I had only met for a 10 minute assessment a couple of weeks before.

A young male relative had problems with his beard regrowth - he was having to shave three times a day sometimes. When he started work he saved up and had laser treatment and has been very pleased with it. If it can reduce strong male hair then it should give good results on female hair.
  • I had my underarms and arms done and it's the best money ever spent. Want to do bikini and legs next! :j
  • Hmm, i wanted to bump this thread because I saw the sales stand at Fenwicks on saturday and the woman tested it on my arm and i was very interested, I know in the US they offer a money back guarantee with it, so i have emailed the uk distrubitor to ask if that is the case in the uk.

Has anyone else got any reviews as some of the net reviews have very positive results?

    Thanks, J x

There are a few threads on this subject with lots of different opinions so you should find something to help you there :)

  • If you start waxing threading etc your hair should come back finer though and be less noticeable.I have had laser hair removal and althought it's expensive and a little bit painful, but it works the hair on my lip and chin is virtually all gone, and will never grow back, so I think it is a great investment.

I bought an epilator years ago for my legs - absolute agony BTW!! It lay dormant in the undercracker drawer for years until my 'tash upset me so much one day I whipped the instrument of torture back out and within 30 seconds my upper lip was as smooth as babies backside!! Doesn't cost me a penny, gets finer each time and I only need to do it every month or so. Magic!!

I'm with you on the epilator!

At first, I just had a few darker patches of hair and used to bleach them then started to realise how hideous it was beginning to look in the sun!!! Now I seem to have loads of facial hair, coupled with bad skin, it's a nightmare!

Used the small attachment on my epilator one night, and God, it hurt! Went really red and tingled for about half an hour, but after that really smooth. Over time the hear gets finer and the roots get weaker, so it's easier and less painful.

Epilator originally cost about £40 (and comes with an ice pack to help if it gets sore!), I've had it a while and used it for legs and underarms and I do my face every 3 weeks or so, so it's a really cost effective method I think.
Works great for me, but can see it might not be for everyone!
