    Hi,
I am so glad you asked this question. I have always used bleach and plucked away the odd extra long one. Now though hair is getting thicker and after bleaching i look like I have blonde catterpillar on my top lip:mad: Have bought some hair removal cream but fear 'stubble' and keep putting it off. BTW I had electrolosis a few years ago. Was very painful and left me with dark pigmentation on top lip, not an attractive look. Apparently this does happen occasionally particularly if you are darked skinned.

Oh, forgot to ask, how much does laser treatment cost?
  • Its pricey but more permanent. I think I paid about £250 for 5 sessions, I think I had an extra one too but just to tidy up.
It hurts a bit when they zap you, but only for a second. It stays red for a few hours, but then its fine. Put on lots of Aloe Vera which really helps.
By the next morning the redness is gone.
Make sure they do a patch test to work out your sensitivity levels.

Its a great feeling to see all those horrid little hairs falling out in the days following the treatment:j

    Go for it !

PS. you will need to stay out of the sun before and after treatment to avoid any pigmentation problems, not a problem in the UK currently !
  • I have noticed a lot more too, especially on my chin

I am allergic to so many lotions and potions that I am so scared to use anything. So I have reverted to the sanding technique !

I use the hair removal mit. Rub in a circle on selected area one way, then change direction. Works a treat but not for very long, so tweeze in between times. Would love for it all to disappear.

I've used Jolen bleach and Veet. I find now that I get really obvious dark hairs growing which I pluck out when I see them (how come you dont notice them until they are really long - do they just sprout up overnight?)

    What is threading?

I bought an epilator years ago for my legs - absolute agony BTW!! It lay dormant in the undercracker drawer for years until my 'tash upset me so much one day I whipped the instrument of torture back out and within 30 seconds my upper lip was as smooth as babies backside!! Doesn't cost me a penny, gets finer each time and I only need to do it every month or so. Magic!!

OMG you are brave. i've got a philips bikini epilator (it's only got a small head) so that might be worth a try. i'm wincining at the thought though....
  • :o What does anyone do with hairy inside of noses. Am I the only one with lots of dark hair inside my nose?

I have been using Veet, stuffing a load up each nostril, but it starts to grow back within 2 weeks. Yuk. I have tried plucking it out but that makes my eyes water and then I cannot see what I am doing!

Oh the joys of being a woman :o:o:o

    LOL :rotfl:
I also get hair sprouting from my nose, I purchased a nasal hair trimmer - you have to do it quite regularly but it's pain free and inexpensive!! ;)
I have dark hair sprouting from my chin too (and upper lip) I use boots own brand facial hair removing creme. It works okay on upper lip but never gets all the chin hairs out. They really get me down and I have been seriously thinking about electrolysis but I'm scared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I hate pain!! So if anyone has any ideas on a painfree, inexpensive successful treatment PLEASE PLEASE spill the beans!! :D
I can only please one person per day.
    Today is not your day.
Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.
  • Thank goodness you replied. Thought I had killed the thread with my revelations
