for those of you who wax - how do you cope whilst waiting for the hair to be long enough to rip out again? doesn't it look dog rough?!0

Wax at the salon costs me about £4 every 5 weeks. Ive been having it done for about 3 years now and the hair gets finer....oh and after all that time i still have to grit my teeth cos it still stings!0

It does gradually get finer... after a few years!!
I've tried everything, it's so unfair, but waxing seems to be the best solution for me, And now it's started sprouting out of my chin, th e minute I turned 40 !!! thick wiry hairs appear overnight. I may just resign myself to becoming a witch!!Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
I have mine 'threaded' its fab, it does hurt but the hairs do grow back finer than if it was waxed. At my local salon it costs £4 for both eyebrows and upper lip done!0

threading is better than wax if you can get it done as wax can irritate skin but if you've not got sensitive skin then find a small tin of wax and just do it yourself - it's easier to just use warm wax with no strips or anything and just wait for the wax to cool and set then pull the whole lot off. Lots of the Handbag girls swear by Epicare (buy off ebay for less than a tenner) which does the same thing as threading. If you want to do laser the darker the hair the better the results. Once you start waxing threading etc your hair should come back finer though and be less noticeable.0

Hi
I cant believe I am the only one who plucks.
I wax my eyebrows but like someone said sometimes it leaves little red spots, so waxing my hairy lip is a no no.
I too would like to try the laser but I reckon I would book a good few weeks off after as I wouldnt want to be walking around with people staring if it was bright red, knowing what I had just had done.:rotfl:NEVER REGRET ANYTHING THAT MAKES YOU SMILE:D

Tweezers...takes ages to do the whole lot but I tend to just take out the really obvious ones.
I also have tried cold wax strips and they make me come out in tiny little spots. My hairs is very ligth coloured so I don't need to bleach it.
Have had a salon wax on my legs once about 10 years ago and had a massive allergic reaction to something they used so have avoid salon waxing at all costs since then!
I'm only 34 so heaven knows how hairy i'm going to get cos it's bad enough now!!!!:eek:0 -
I tried Veet last month on my tache and it seems to have worked ok,but am going to go and get tache and chin waxed next weekend, am sick of sitting with tweezers pulling out the obvious ones.Only other solution I spose is to start growing decorative warts and wear a pointy hat

I have had laser hair removal and althought it's expensive and a little bit painful, I am soooo glad I had it.
The hair on my lip and chin is virtually all gone, and will never grow back, so I think it is a great investment.0
