I use http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4425289.htm which I find to be really good. I had an older version but this one seems to pick up more hairs with each stroke. You may want to consider getting waxed a couple of times to weaken the roots to lessen the pain.

Is there much difference in the performance? I find sometimes it does take ages to get all the hairs to pick up - maybe i should upgrade

I think there is a good difference. My old was was the phillips Ice and I think this one grabs more with each stroke and seems to pick up shorter hairs than the old one. This was the one Witch mag were recommending a couple of months ago. At that price it's a bargain too.

Thanks. Mine is from even before the "Ice" version - so pretty ancient!! :rotfl:Still working though. Keep wondering if I should update - think I might do - any idea when that offer ends? ;)

I have an epilator I have used for years and it's very effective, don't think it hurts as much as waxing and is quick to use. Also if you have a local college who have a beauty therapy department, they are always looking for someone to treat at the fraction of salon prices.;)

I find this as well. I think my hair has mutated so that it is totally resisitant to removal whatever hair removal cream I use. Odd black hairs on my upper lip I tweezer and just put a littlel cream on for a minite or two for the finer upper lip hair. Underarms are not too bad, I either get them waxed or they need just a quick shave in the shower.
My legs though are the worst. I have used several versions of hair removing cream, plaster it on like a builder, leave it on for the max time and more. I then shower and guess what, the hair is still there. Even when I have them waxed I still find resistant hair growing away next day. It is such a pain because the fake tan comes off at the same time with creams so then I end up with white steaky hairy legs. I suppose tweezering is the only alternative but it could take hours ...

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I put Veet under one of my arms the other day and it didn't do anything!
It was on for 7 minutes and the hair was totally untouched  . Have I got superstrong hair or does this cream go off after a while? Just thought I'd try it for a change as I usually shave my 'pits for quickness.

I'm considering buying an epilator mainly for bikini line use, any recommendations?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello!
I've just been to tesco and bought some of the Veet in shower hair removal cream, along with the Dove summer glow body lotion. I've used Neither of these products before! Pls can someone give me their reviews if they have used either product?

Seeing as you've brought them already-why don't you try them out and see if you like them....

    keely.

ps-ive used veet cream before, not the shower one but it was in a spray can/mousse....it doesnt last long if you are doing both legs on a regular basis! i stick to shaving my legs now, but use a removal cream on my bikini line these days.

I havent tried the dove stuff-but ive heard mixed reviews about it so it's best to just see how you personally get on with it.

I've tried them and they're great! My legs are silky smooth, and after one application of the Dove Summer Glow, my legs are no longer Milk Bottle white!

Has anyone see this ad in the August Top Sante mag? The new machine is called Tria (www.tria.co.uk) and its the first ever medical-grade hand held laser. Pricetag is £695. Looks good.
