For everyone who has had the laser treatment, when you say you have little regrowth, how much is little? (iyswim!)

Skyrocket - when I had it done it was labelled as permanent but then it was changed to "permanent reduction". I get the odd straggly hair coming thru which I just whisk off with my epilator - I can easily go for several months before I even think about checking my legs. Any hairs that come thru are fine, not bristly like after shaving.
It is nice tho if I decide to wear a skirt and go bare legged that I don't have to think about "preparing" my legs beforehand and can just do it!

Thanks Chickalittle! Were you very hairy before? I ask because I have to shave evry day or my legs are stubbly. If I shave in the morning by the evening I have hairs longer than 1mm showing. As a result I hate bathtime because it always means shaving my legs which bores me rigid!
I love the idea of never having to do that again

yes - I was hairy all the way up my legs and very self conscious about it - like you, I would shave in the morning but seemed to get the hairs bristling thru the skin very quickly the same day so if I was going out on a night I would shave again. A much as I hated my hairy legs I hated the bristly feel too. I did try waxing for a while but then had to go into an ecomomy drive so back to shaving....

The laser treatment is like a rubber band being pinged against your skin - not as bad as waxing but can be a bit uncomfotable/sore in places - just incase you are thinking it is totally pain free!

A few years ago I got really brave and had my armpits waxed and it hurt like hell! The beautician was amazed how strongly embedded the hairs were, they just didn't want to come out at all. Gave up after about 5 goes as I got fed up with having to "grow" my pit hair till it was long enough to wax. Depilitory cream haredly touches this area.
Tried waxing my own bikini line but ended up breaking the skin/bruising the lot! Not a good idea. Only had it done once professionally just before I went to be sterilised. That wasn't one of my better ideas either as when regrowth started it still itched like mad but I couldn't scratch cos of the incisions  .
Can't bear having my upper lip waxed professionally, tried and failed to do it myself - it just hurts too much. Also it doesn't feel like it "belongs" to me after wasxing. Usually bleach it now.
I'd love to have a brazilian but I'm just not brave enough, and would be embarrassed having my nether regions seen by someone young enough to be my daughter :D
Lucky for me my legs aren't too hairy......

    Hi :hello:

My 11 yr old DD has quite dark hair on her upper lip, she is blonde and fair skined so it does show up and she's starting to worry about it.

I just wondered if anyone had any ideas please of a painless way to remove or fade them that would be suitable for a child?

    Many thanks

If they are fine hairs I would go for a depilatory (sp?) cream especially for use on the face. My daughter who has just turned twelve has the same problem and does them with creamevry few weeks. It doesn't work so well for coarser hairs.

Has anyone had laser treatment in the North East of England and recommend a place to go?

Does anyone have an email address for Sk:n in Liverpool other than the 'contact us' page on the website?

    Thanks
