However I would warn you that I took Dianette some years back and I got very severely depressed and decided I'd rather live with the hair than the depression!

That's interesting how it can affect different people. Dianette has changed my life, I've never felt so full of life and full of beans!

According to the BBC News today drinking two cups of Spearmint tea a day can reduce facial hair growth. See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6376599.stm

It costs me £14 for a half leg wax and I'm sure my money could be spent elsewhere on a cheaper shop bought alternative.

I have tried many of the wax strips on the market but haven't been too impressed with the results - many leave hairs on the legs still.

I'm tempted to go back to the good old razor but I'm sure ther must be a cheaper alternative.

How much does anyone else pay for a leg wax?

I tried an epilator but just couldn't get used to the pain, I know that some people are fine with it though. I've now gone back to that good old razor again. I buy the expensive blades though as they seem to last much longer. I use Venus blades.

I pay £20 for full leg, £5 for underarm and £10 for my back, ive tried Veet, Boots and Superdrug own brand and a few others but nothing has come close to the beautician does.

I have a Philips Epicera wax system that I use for my legs and underarms (it heats up the wax cartridge and then you roll it on and use strips to get it off). It's brilliant.

You could probably find one for about a tenner on eBay - mind you, the replacement cartridges take a bit more hunting down.

I visit the beautician for my bikini waxing though - no way I can do that myself! :p:o

I would be tempted to try this but where do you find replacement papers and wax? Is this quite an old product then?

I've had it 4 or 5 years. They used to sell the cartridges in Tesco, but then they stopped. I managed to get a load wholesale on eBay so I have a supply. Each one comes with the strips.

There are other similar systems that I'm sure would be as good.

  • I shave the bottoms and have the tops waxed at a salon . £8 which is quite reasonable.

Bought a hot waxing kit but found it incredibly difficult to get the hang of putting the wax on in an even layer and always ended up with wax every where but on my legs and got rather annoyed with it. Id maybe be better with the roll on wax system

My hairs are pretty quick growing and drive me mad through the summer so considering laser treatment but would wait till the winter as I think you have to have some growth to have this done?
