AND you can pay for Skn on Tesco clubcard deals

Tempting but only valid on full-price treatments

They would do just the lower leg for you if thats all you wanted ( Prosume about half that price)

Amazingly its £200 per treatment for half leg and £275 for full! I think I might have to dip further into my savings and go the whole hog...not exactly MS I know!:o
  • Mays well, Some things are worth the money in the long term;).

Yout get lots for your money at skinclinc using your Tesco points my mums just payed for 3 treatments now using clubcard points and in a few months time when she has more points will use more points for another 3 sessions.

    Hi,

Has anyone tried one of those new machines? Apparently it is one of these laser machines that is as effective as in the salon, but you can own it and do all body where needed for the same price as just have the legs treatment done in the salon..

It is quite a lot of money to pay, but my sister would like to have that treatment done anyway and if we can have it at home we can share it and therefore each chip in..

    Thanks in advance

  • There is a threat on here about the boots smooth skin IPL laser hair removal system. Sorry I dont know how to put a link it!

I have the boots one - it does take a lot of time to use. But, I am getting results - slowly.

Does the Tria machine use IPL (intense pulsed light).

I didn't know Boots did one? This claims to be the same strenght as the ones in salons.

    http://www.triabeauty.co.uk/

It doesn't seem to say what type of laser it is. It says this:

It’s all about selective photothermolysis. Big word – simple to understand.
Photothermolysis is the process by which the TRIA System’s laser energy targets the dark pigment in the hair, where it is transformed into heat that disables the hair follicle. This targeted process causes the hair to gradually fall out and stop growing back.

I do realise that the treatment takes long period of time, but so do the ones in the salons... If you want it gone permanently, I suppose you have to invest some time into it.

When I was reading up about the Boots one I found some reviews about the Tria and they were very mixed. One of the problems seem to be that when it has done its 300 charges it has to be junked unlike the Boots one where you can buy a replacement part. They may have changed this by now as I was looking back in March

This is the Boots thread: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1526287

Thank you, that is what I also read about it.. However I think that 300 charges is quite a lot?? If it is supposed to be permanent??

My sister is calling them to find out whether you can also buy replacement part.
