just wondering, can you not take cash out from a credit card if you have one to raise money for the bankruptcy quicker or is that not allowed?

Frowned upon definitely. It is one thing choosing to keep back your own money rather than paying a creditor or two until the funds are saved, totally another using money from a creditor that you know they will never get back.

Not something should really do unless you have no other realistic ways of raising the fees.

If you just don't have any other way, then the OR will usually not have a major issue with this on it's own. In other words, the OR recognises that sometimes if you are desperate then people do these things, and not for malicious reasons. It's only if there is other misconduct in addition to this to be considered that it may have an impact and add to grounds for a BRU/O.

It is a "last resort"/"no other choice" option though, that may have consequences, and should be be avoided if there is any other realistic option.
