number 23 here, all paid off! Had money left in bank at payday and then I only had 200 quid left to pay so I paid it. Very excited not to have any debt (apart from student loan and mortgage so I do have debt).
I would now like to save £1000 so my new 1% is £10.
Thanks!0 -
Hi all, thanks for the well wishes. Still really bad but hoping all the tablets will help. Im jusy about managing looking after the 3 kids each day. Though the house is getting into a state and the dog has only been out once since Sunday
Sold A DVD for £2 on Ebay yesterday and got 1 £9.99 bid on a pair of shoes so far. So better than nothing i suppose.
Payday tomorrow :j Got to get a meal plan in order, a tesco shop ready, need to organise what im buying or making for the birthdays this month and find more things to sell!

well i have now paid off 23% off my b'card so ive added that to the 27% that im up to for next. am i right in thinking theres no council tax this month and next? that way i can pay that amount into debts, which will be nice (not as nice as a spa day though!) i get paid tomorrow and so im hoping to pay off another £100 towards next which will take me up to 38%, and OH owes me £200 for holiday which will take the b'card total to 33% but i wont count that until its all paid in and cleared!)

Hi folks!
Thanks for the comments re photos. Its no problem to take photographs myself as I am a reasonable amatuer photographerso will think on it a little more.
My mum sold a gold ring for me this week (£25), still trying to sell my wii & found some ink cartridges to post off. Reckon I'll get about £10 for them. Nothing to equal a % but if it all comes to fruition soon then I might even have 2 % soon.....
Also trying to get OH to sell his ancient motorbike (not ridden, serviced or anything for years) & he said I can have any money we get for it. Not sure that its worth much though.... Which reminds me that my old motorbike leathers are in the attic, must dust them off to sell in the spring...1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100

Haven't completely caught up but just wanted to say #164 is now at 38.5%!!!
I just managed to pay off another 1.5% this evening, which I got partly through selling a bundle of academic books (£120) and partly through underspend against budget pots :-) This is brilliant for me because it means our debts will be under £4000 when I do the sums at the end of tomorrowBut even more excitedly my 1st credit card is now empty (well apart from the £25 DD coming out next week!) which is just amazing- for the first time ever I've beaten the 0% balance transfer finish date! The last half % even had to go off the last credit card - so that's the one I'm busting now
Generally speaking feb and march are the "free" months for council tax but for others it's March and April. Don't forget from April it becomes easier for you to pay over 12 months rather than 10. I had a nice surprise with water - apparently I don't pay in nov, dec, jan and feb so that £28 is going against one of the percents!

teaandcakeaddict signing in, just crossed out my 5% square! Wages got paid in last night, so I made a payment straight away. This really works, I'm thrilled :j
I've got ebay items ending tonight, that should be another 1% hopefully, and I'm close to pay out on a few survey sites. Right, off to photograph more ebay items. Good luck percenters, hope you have a productive day xWorking my butt off to buy the house of my dreams!0 -

Back again, second time today (I hope I'm not making a pest of myself!). Had some good news today, my son is disabled and they turned him down for mobility element of DLA, I won't go into it now but their reasons for turning him down were rediculous and I had a whole team of experts fighting his corner! I appealed the decision with a very stern Erin Brockovich style letter and they have since changed their minds and granted him higher rate mobility till 2025!!! we got a nice back payment which is going straight on the car loan for the second car we had to buy so I could get around with him, but I did pay an extra 2% off my total in celebration of my victory. We are now eligible for a blue badge and various grants / schemes which I am looking into which will help us financially too.
I've now paid off 7% in nine days! At this rate it shouldn't take me long at all. I love this thread......Working my butt off to buy the house of my dreams!0 -
teaandcackeaddict - that's great new for you and your son
Hopefully it'll open up doors to lots of things.
Have done my end of month budgets this evening and it's looking nice for us, I'm so excited about our debt being gone in a few months. Will be making another 2% payment tomorrow as wages are in - going to do it after standing orders are completed between accounts - don't want to make myself overdrawn! Sadly no bids, but quite a few watchers, on ebay items, humphTotal money owed: [STRIKE]31/07/11- £17,877[/STRIKE], LBM - 14/10/12 :j, 01/06/13 - £0 DEBT FREE!!!!
