  • I would like to join, should I join now or wait till the new year?
  • Hi, can I join please? I've added the total of my debts and was surprised to find it was around £1000 less than I expected. I think my first % will be made from cutting back on my grocery shopping for January and using up what I can from the cupboards.

    I've rounded up my 1% to £70.
    Debt 2010 £20,544.07. 2011 £9,617.63. 2012 £5,625.07.
    2013 £7,986.12
    Sealed Pot Challenge #899 2010 £173. 2011 £13. 2012 £223.

Just checking in but nothing to declare. Hope everyone else is doing well.

I'm going to try and set a deadline of 31/03 to clear debt 3 (£900 left), paying the minimum payments for feb and march months will reduce it to £700 - so need to earn that from fb and eBay  as the husbands overtime needs to pay for the plastering. That's 93 days...

Sorry I haven't updated in a while guys. Got paid Xmas eve and transferred £170 which puts me at 57.5%
That's going to be for this year! Very happy I've paid 14.5% since end of nov :)
Going to be a slower month in January as I'm going away for a long weekend and my pay has to stretch 6weeks but hoping to push to at least 60%
    Good luck in 2013 everyone

Hi all, I have just come back to mse after a long spell away. I have totally fallen of the debt free wagon and desperately need to get back on track. I too came very close to being debt free but this last year I have just become very complacent. This seems to be the same old pattern going on with my debt free road to recovery. I have been reading through this challenge and I think its just what I need to get myself on track again. So if you have room for one more, could you add me. My 1% =£45.
    Mortgage free 25/9/2019 8years and 7 months early 😁😁😁

  • We're probably all just lurking in the background. :D It's usually a quiet time until the New Year, I'm sure we'll be back to our usual busy self soon! The percents are hard to come by in such an expensive month.

To all the new folks that are joining a big thank you.

I will be updating the thread on New Years Eve, I'll do my best to make it as up to date as possible to get you all on the list for 2013.

Same here - I'm lurking as not much left to pay off debts for Jan. Waiting to see if anything sells on ebay this week - have 1 item with a bid on now. Might list some more tomorrow as its the final free listing day if I get around to taking some photos.

I'll be using the money to pay off CC as per my plan but need to wait until there's a bit more in the pot first to go towards all 3.
