I've been lurking too, ready to give this challenge a good go from Tuesday. I have listed 30 items on ebay and 3 have bids on so thats a start. Did a quick clear of a few drawers in my bedroom last night and have found about 15 items to list today. Now its off to earn some swagbucks before doing more clearing out!
  • Hi Everyone...

I hope you all had a great Christmas and are all set for New Year...

BIG CONGRATS to specialkaye for clearing her debt! WOW!!!

I was poorly and am still trying to shake off a chest infection and cough - GRRRR

Alas - I had some unexpected spending over this period and so have had to withdraw 1% from my savings... So - when my payment to my DMP clears - my debt will sit at 20% cleared (not 21% as predicted earlier!!!)

Still - am super :) at the rate it's going down... and clearing 1/5 of it is cause for celebration... and with 2013 - am determined to clear that totally!!!

Happy New Year if i don't get on here tomorrow!!!

  • Hi all

Ok so I know its a little late to join this challenge, but I really like the sound of it.

My 1% is a massive £172. I love the idea of doing up a graph of 100 boxes and colour each in as I progress. Is that really childish of me??

Since my LBM in November I have paid off 3%, so will go and make my graph now and colour in 3 boxes.

    Yippeeee

Hell no!! One of my favourite things to do when I pay off something towards my debts/savings is to update my signature on here so I can see in black and white (or green/purple/pink etc!) exactly how I'm doing and it's proof I actually AM getting somewhere! Well done on paying so much off at this time of year :T
  • Thanks for making me feel less nuts Ruby :T.

If my dubious maths is correct, I should be able to pay off at least 5% every month. So I should have paid off about 60% by the end of 2013.

Would like that to be even higher than 60% but will see what 2013 throws at me.:)
