Hi all, I posted on DFBX13 that I realised that I was working out my totals and %'s by what I had paid towards the debt and not factoring in the interest each month. So I have decided to look at my totals again and recalculate my %.
So my revised total paid is 19.8% of £2500.
I will update again when my statements have arrived.🎄PAYDBXMAS21 #11 £11,300/£11300

Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2013 is a good one for us all - me and the OH are steamrolling towards being debt-free by the summer, providing there are no mishaps! And I can't wait, then we'll start trying for a family and saving for a house deposit
I have done my end of year figures today (too much entertaining going on over the last few days!) and I am well chuffed with how much we have paid off in 2012, especially as when moving house back in the spring we took our eye of the ball and spent on going out and entertainment rather than overpayments! And the OH has been on SSP since September - which lead to our real LBM.
Anyway, I (#164) have just made a 0.5% payment, bringing my total to 20.5%. I thought it'd be nice to squeeze a little something out of the month's budget to start the new year off with a smile!! We have also managed to squirrel away another 1.5% over the last few weeks from things like ebay, but have decided to use that for a much needed weekend away for the OH's 30th in February, so it doesn't count towards my percentage total but nice to save up the money in advance for something!
LMUD - thanks for collating all the stats, that's is really pretty impressive! Well done everybody
I also just wanted to say a big hello and welcome to all of the new people joining the challenge - I hope it gives you as much as an incentive as it does me. The support on here is always amazing.

And thanks Fallen Archer for your lovely words for me and others who have just joined. I hope to kill off at least 60% of the debt this year, so this thread will REALLY help. Well done for nearly being Debt free xxxx0 -

Hello every body,
Thankyou so much for all the support, i think i would be languishing at about 40-50% had it not been for this thread.
I would like to now SAVE £5000 so my new 1% is £50. Most of this will be now from working 2 jobs and 47 hours a week over all 7 days!!!! eek. Will still be trying to do swagbacks and some savvy shopping tricks etc and do a bit of a declutter as i did very well for christmas this year. And all nice useful presents that mean i will have saved money by not having to buy them for myself. WINNER.
Anyways I am giving myself exactly 6 months to reach my target - 2nd June, which coincidentally is my birthday.
Right Im going to go and catch up on all the christmas tv i missed while enjoying the fresh scottish air all week. working life starts again tomorrow1% at a time challenge member #127
