Morning!! Already had my coffee and walked the dog, did have to cut my walk short though due to serious rubbing at the ankles from my walking boots :( not worn them in ages, this may be why!! (usually trainers or wellies). Sat down stairs now with little miss Evelyn who woke Daddy up whilst i was out by being sick everywhere. I do hope its a one off as she isnt usually sicky, and that its not the start of a bug. :(

Today will mainly be spend walking to our local highstreet (to avoid the parking) and buying different batteries for tomorrow that we dont have chargers for and 7 birthday cards for January birthdays in the 7 for £1 selection in the card factory :) I also need kitchen roll and washing powder, oh and petrol, that should be fun :( Then its homemade soup, a christmas DVD and then getting all the presents out when the kids go to sleep :) Cant wait to see their faces!!!

We've meal planned over the festive season and learning what veg is cheap and whats not. Avoid broccoli but buy loads and loads of carrots and kale lol

Its DS' birthday in 3 days and i need to purchase a cake, holding off until after Xmas in the hopes they'll have some reduced. And on the 29th im going on my 4th and last night out of 2012!! Last minute affair and a cheap one. Husband having the kids, im going with the girls, Dad will be taxi there and planning to drink before we go. So the odd drink out and a shared taxi home, cheapy cheap :) Not out then until March i dont think.

Got a few things i want to Ebay this week on free listings but other than that not much planned. Not sure how busy/effective it will be straight after Xmas but we will see!

    Anyway merry christmas everyone!! :xmassign:

  • No wine last night or tonight so just transferred £11 - that's another 2% off. Will try and have a couple more "dry" nights before this weekend as we have friends staying for 3 nights from Saturday until Tuesday and they definitely will be messy nights

I had hoped to be sub £1k by NYE, but it won't be happening now. Never mind - I'm still in a better position that I was in October.

  • Another 5% of gift money so that is 38% now since beginning of Dec!
  • Morning all

Well after having 2 NSD's in a row (being organised with shopping and shops closed!) I am going to stay put today and make it 3 in a row. We don't actually need anything, but the urge to "go out and see" is a strong one so if I keep busy today, I will be delighted if I can do it.

Looked in the fridge and there's some sausagemeat we didn't use so I think I'll make some pastry and turn it into sausage rolls. A friend is coming to help me paint the kitchen today, so with 5 kids in the house, it'll be sausage rolls and chips for an easy tea (her 3 kids are fussy so this should work well).

Can't believe OH and I didn't drink over Christmas :thud: and sent 2% to my 1% challenge. Feels great not to be hungover over Christmas, so I'm going to be alcohol free tonight too and send another % before I go to bed.

Another plus is that I will have decluttered a tin of paint and the kitchen will look fab!

Let the day begin! First step, get off here and get out of bed
Scrap that - OH has just send DS upstairs with a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel and a cup of tea - oh well, it would be rude to go and get in the shower now and let it go cold, wouldn't it?

Good luck with your own personal quests everyone.

Just in case anyone is tempted I went to the sales briefly today and it was all a load of crap! Same stuff at the same prices as last week. So stay and save your pennies ;)
