Thanks little miss but I left my details with guest services and heard nothing from them yet. They said if nothing after 3 days then assume it's gone. But another friend was there yesterday and she asked for me and it hadn't shown up by then so i think its gone.
Just have to decide now whether to shell out for a decent phone or go with th cheapest. Can't upgrade for another 13-14 months on my contract  Which is a bit gutting as the reception at my house is awful and I thought I was on a 12 month not 24 month contract!!!! Thought I could change providers this Xmas not next!
One interesting thing I did discover though which might be interesting to some of you is: I got a contract which included a free phone. However I just realised that if I had bought the phone and taken a sim only contract then over the 24 months I would have saved about £90! Might do that next time....1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100

Hey everyone!
Was going through my finances and realised I'd not accounted for a debt I'd paid (balance transfer of one credit card to another, which I then cleared).
My total cleared actually stands at 9%
Hoping to really go at it over the next few months... some overtime due at the end of this month, and anything I get for my birthday and xmas.

In the hope of making another few percent, I made a budget for christmas for what I can afford. Now I'm trying to slash this by using as many discounts, vouchers and freebies I can. Then when I come underbudget, I will put this towards my percents as well!
Read Martins email and signed up to Boots Treat Street, bought a present off eBay for £2 (worth about £10) and got £5 worth of points for Boots (which will go towards another present. So already £13 saved off my christmas Budget wooooo!!
Also I need some help, I never get much more that a toiletry gift set worth a couple of pound from my MIL, but I always spend a decent amount on her. In an effort to save this year I'm cutting her present cost to minimal. I have literally a drawer full of samples of various beauty products which were all freebies. Would it be really stingy to give her these, as there cost me nothing at all??October Awakening: Food £20/20 Petrol £50/50 Misc £190/194.01 Extra Earnings £100/196.56 SFDs 20/220 -

I feel quite lucky that we stepped of the gift buying treadmill a few years ago, we now ONLY buy for my Mum & and step dad a joint gift and do spent a pretty decent amount because they have us all over for christmas dinner
my OH and i, do get each other something usually under £20
And our 2 teenagers get £100 each cash to spend in the sales on what they really want
So i'd say yes give her the freebies :money:Build your own dreams ~ or someone will hire you to help build theirs

hi everyone, stumbled across this thread the other day and have been reading through with interest
Wow, what an inspirational lot you are!:D
Have been quite down as unfortunately found myself back in debt (after being DF for a year) due to having to replace my car unexpectedly as I had to switch to an automatic as couldn't manage the clutch after failed surgery .... and some emergency household repairs (emergency fund not up to scratch).
On the positive side, I have managed to avoid a loan and am still clearing the cc in full each month ..... just have a £650 OD to clear (which I guess isn't too bad for having changed my car!).
So ...... 1% at a time is £6.50 ...... surely I can manage that!:)
May be struggling at bit just now as currently just out of hospital and housebound (so can't get out to post e*bay sales etc) but no reason why I can't look for stuff to do when I'm able to get out & about again!.
So today ..... have managed to save £7 / month by changing the dog's insurance to a new provider ....... yay!
Hope you don't mind me lurking and picking up ideas:D *hides again*Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

find a recepticle froma charity shop, i find random baskets etc or wicker wear... for a pound, bits of random tissue paper (scrunch to get volume) and then some celophane and make up a smellies basket.
absolutely fine to give freebies, it is the thought that counts (the thought of being debt free sooner) :rotfl:IF YOU THINK YOU ARE SO CLEVER, THEN WHY ARE'NT YOU RICH?

Also try and get a piece of tissue paper, then if anyone you know / work with has a shredder you can put it through, makes for nice present stuffing, saves paying a coupla' quid for a bag of it!0 -
Just going through e-bay to check the prices of similar things to the stuff I want to list so I am competitive.
40 things photographed, and read to list, but I might take the hit on a couple of items to do a timed start listing as I doubt people will be trawling the net between now and 5.00pm in enough numbers for the things I am putting on.I divorced my First Husband on Religious Grounds:A
