Hi everyone nd a big hello to all the newbies since I last posted :)

Happytails - Hope all goes well with the new arrival - I'm thinking of you xxxx

Liz paul - sorry to hear about the phone - is it covered on your home insurance or credit card insurance - hubby lost his once when he had a card and did'nt realise it but had cover provided with the card I seem to remember. :(

nanell - love the idea of the christmas budget slashing - will be looking into this tonight me thinks - I already have lots of pressies in and am trying to make lots myself this year again so hopefully will be able to gain a few % from this :T

Well I had four craft fairs in a row from the week just gone and managed to make £205 after stall costs so this has been paid into the savings account today. I also cashed in winning lottery tickets (£12.90) and paid a refund cheque in from my husband's bike insurance (he sold his bike to add to our savings) (£9.18) which he had had sitting around for ages and was'nt going to bother with!!. I can now declare a further 11% has been added by me this week. So:-

    Member 17 = 37% :j:j:j

I also have waiting to be transferred £75 earned from mystery shopping during October and £35 cashback from Quidco (from my car insurance) so me thinks will be able to declare a further 5% very soon. :D

Keep up the good work everyone xxx

I don't have a house phone so decided what I could get from Vodafone seeing as I'm a gd customer an all. so I got unlimited txt and calls plus 300min to 0844 numbers. Two GB of internet AND the new galaxy S3 for 31.00 per month

Nice one HappyTorty, well done! I had no such luck with vodafone when I went to upgrade after 8 years on contract with them and another 2 payg before that. I don't get voda signal in my house, had found a really good deal with orange, the phone I wanted and better signal. They offered to match the deal I'd found but wanted me to pay £50 for their house booster!!! Told them I'd leave as it was cheaper for me to go and they let me! Rather glad now as there've been nothing but problems with the voda signal where I'm living over the last year, getting knocked out for days at a time and no sorry or monetary apology!

I'm just a few quid away from transferring 2% (£100) from my paypal account :j Just need one of the four ebay winners who haven't paid to pay. Have a sneaking suspicion that two of them might end up NPB but we'll see. I should really get to bed but I keep refreshing the page in the hope that one of them has paid :o

Not much going on here in way of money saving/earning. Posted 2 ebay items this morning. Going to wrap the 5 that end tomorrow in the hopes they sell. Nothing has bids on but a few have watchers.

  • More good news Kayleighpea - congratulations! Somebody, somewhere is looking out for you :A

Well OH and I decided against a bottle of wine last night so transferred another £5.50 to the Next card this morning, so that's another 1% taking me to 33.5% so far. I really love this 1% approach - this time a fortnight ago my balance would still have been almost £550 and I would have just sat on my rump, supping wine and moaning about my debts! I think I owe myself a virtual

  • Kayleighpea- nice score

Happytails - lets hope s(he) makes an appearance soon then.

I never got that job i went for the other week so today is filled with new applications before babysitting tonight. My dad has also asked me to run the page for his holiday home and said any bookings dealt with by me i can have 10% commission :D.

Was about to say I want a NSD but was planning on going to MrT to see what cheap veg they had later as i am going to attempt to make a batch of soup for the freezer.

Did everyone manage to get to see some fireworks over the last few days?

  • Initially I decided not to do this challenge until after Christmas but you lot are doing so well and have given me loads of inspiration that I will need to reconsider my decision ! I have a catalogue that I pay every month (interest free) so if I don't spend anything on it then it will be paid off no later than end of Jan. Then I have my student loan at £2330 - 1% = £23.30. Doesn't seem so bad now. So thanks for setting this thread up :T
