Well I sat for around an hour last night on the PC and music magpie have offered me a price for 100+ CD's which I think I'll accept. No doubt when they see the state of them it'll reduce but at least it has made a massive dent into 2 shelves on the bookcase. Now need to quickly load then to i-tunes before I send them off. I reckon I may need to find about 5 boxes to send them away though - they're flippin' heavy!
Also emptied my £2 tin and was delighted to find £108 in there - I only thought there was about £40-50, so I'm going to pay that into my A/c today and transfer it to my Next card. These percentages are flying off.:T
Also took a very old-fashioned headboard, footboard and side rails to the auction house this morning whilst out with the dog, so will have more £'s to come hopefully in next Thursday's auction.
It's amazing what gibble you can find when you start looking closely enough. :money:Decluttering junk and debt in 2016

Got some more Xmas presents today. Dropped 2 bags of stuff at barnardos yesterday and they are still doing that £5 off £35 spend at Argos voucher in exchange for donated toys. So I used it to buy my neices and nephews Xmas presents and nephews bday present. Also got a stocking filler for each of my 3 too. For £32 :j Really helping spread the cost. Just got a few adults to buy/make for now and a couple of stocking fillers for the kids
Got 5 things ending on ebay today, 2 items with watchers but no bids, these are all 99p starts. hopefully something will sell....DFW Total £21,800 to clear by Dec 2022

Paid some more towards the credit card today, unfortunately it wasn't a full percent but like they say every little helps.
Not taking into account a couple of my cards are on special deals I have calculated that our debts will hopefully be cleared in the next 4 1/2 years. I know this doesn't seem that impressive but I'm looking at it as a goal that can be worked on.
I'm back to work after my maternity leave next week so will be able to do some better number crunching and hopefully get this time down :jDid owe £9,951.96
Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

I haven't updated for ages, and things have been rather slow on ebay for ages now, slow but sure I guess.
But I am now up to 20% of my 5000 total.
Hopefully December sales will make a gig dent in things.

I have totalled my debts plus an amount I wish to have saved by the end to a round £12,500.
My 1% = £125.00
I am currently on a DMP with CCCS and managed to boost my monthly payments to £250.00 - so will be clearing 2% per month. Anything additional I can raise will be given to them to distribute between debts.
Am so fired up for this challenge!!!
Many Thanks!!!
Great to be on board!!!

Hi everyone and welcome newbies! :hello:
I've been offered a bit of freelance work today, so once that is done and I've been paid for it, that'll be another 3%! So possibly with Christmas money too I could have a total of 10% saved by January!
I looked at that November challenge, but I think I'd struggle with it this month, but I might try something similar in January!0 -
Little bit of work
1%= £460
Thanks for the inspiration today. Managed to successfully negotiate a £700 debt to a car finance company down to £380. So in a way I made money today and cleared a loan. Last final good feeling is that they are not on my credit report so it's not going to sit around affecting me!
Feeling good. Two more discounted settlements to go before my savings run out.0 -
happytails - I wonder if your ebay people have gone away for half term? It's still HT here Oop North.
Have paid in my £2 coins this arvo and now transferred it to my Next Account - so that's 23% chipped away. :j
