Hi moneymakestheworldgoaround,
Thank you for the lovely warm welcome.0 -
Hi Everyone!!!!!
I hope you're all having a lovely Saturday! Not too long til the end of the month now! I've been obsessing a bit over decluttering the house and at present the house is in a state of flux (yep a mess). I've fallen on my coccyx and I'm in a hideous amount of pain, so the other half is now sat listing lots of clothes on eBay and the local fb selling page, whilst I whine every time I move! I'm currently trying to make a meal plan for a family of three for £14 a week which would give us another £150 free'd up a month towards this challenge. Bank balances will be calculated on Wednesday and then we'll know what we're going to be able to pay off this month. I'm hoping for around 4% or so anything more will be a bonus. Will then recalculate %'s to account for min payments that will have slipped through the last few months!
Happy %ing

Hi Kerfuffle
You really will enjoy this challenge, it is so motivating and it's great to see your debt going down. May I ask where in Canada you are from? The main reason we want to sort our finances out is so we can emmigrate to Canada!
Anyway good luck with your debt free journey and enjoy the challenge!

Evening all, I have a bid on eBay :j my 15 items end tomorrow but the item I have a bid on is at £10 so it won't be too bad of nothing else sells lol
Had a dear day today, £65 at morrisons, got a lot of store cupboard stuff and stocked p on kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets and bleach etc plus £15 was DVDs for Xmas. £3 on some thin thermal socks for the husband for his bike ride to work as he has been complaining of cold feet, if they are good Ill be getting 4 more pairs. £3 leggings for dd as she is short on these. £6 on some crafts for the kids to entertain them when I'm at my wits end getting used to a newbornoh and £5 in costa (I just got drinks for us 3 no cake
)
Husband has been at work since 10, came home for 2 hours just now and he has headed back for some more hours working. Project is going well though so that's good, he will be there all tomorrow toomissing his company as are the kids. But it will be a big boost if he gets this extra money and all the overtime

Just a quick question from a regular lurker.... If you sell on eBay do u just count the money you made minus fees, including fees or including fees and postage and look on pp as an 'everyday expense ' ?0

I would say you can only count it as profit after eBay, paypal & postage fees. After all, if it costs more to sell than you make then you're not any closer to your next 1% which is what matters. Better to be accurate now than find you've over estimated later on0 -

I prefer to treat my earnings as profit (however much i transfer from paypal, as i use some of my earnings to buy other bits online for the children etc). I then count my post office fees seperately as i pay every month for the month previous. And likewise for the Ebay fees. For me, this is much simpler.

Ebay is going well!! Pleasantly suprised to wake up to 1 sold item, 2 unsold but will relist. 4 more with bids on that end in an hour, so far totalling £37.50 plus postage :j Got a few others with watchers, these will end throughout the day. Need to get myself organised so i can post out tomorrow
Need to set up a standing order to repay my dad for the car, £175 a month. So going to have to look at our finances and see what we can cut back on. £6 a month straight away from Netflix :j
Looking into cheaper options for ordering food whilst still retaining the quality. Husband has a diet of mainly grass fed meat/veg/fruit. Limited wheat and dairy so alot of cheap bulk foods like pasta ETC are no no's. Well me and the kids can eat wheats based dishes at lunch. Going to have to give this a good looking over.
Petrol is hard cause we are getting the new car this thurs, its a 1.8 rather than 1.0 so im not sure how much more we will use.
Looking into other things now, we dont have sky/tv licence or anything like that but there must be something i can reduce!!!!
