Just made another payment to my credit card of £54, which is 2% of my total amount.
#36 payment of £54 (2%), total paid now 13%
Getting there slowly but surely!0 -
Hi everyone - its me again.
I've just had a lovely surprise. I've just checked our bank account and hubby has been paid early so I have transfered what was left from the month into the savings - a whopping £2000!!!! :j
Now I cannot claim all of this as mine (as he is the one who brings in the bacon so to speak and he did do lots of overtime to earn extra) but I do feel I should claim some of this as I have been careful with food shopping, shopped around for cheaper deals on things, not had take aways, spent nothing on craft from the account etc. So do we all think its fair if I claim £200 of it (that's 10% of what we actually had left).
I think I can justify this amount so am going to add it to my total anyway - I can always change it if need be.I have also just remember to transfer over the £5 from the halifax bank reward.
So another update for me:-

Hi. Still at 23% but found out yesterday that overtime has been agreed. Up to 14 hours a week if I can squeeze it in. Going to really make a difference to reaching that 100%. Feeling pretty lucky right now.Member 105 of 1% at a time - 23/100 :j0

Hi All,
Hope you are having a happy Friday!
I have just updated my snowball calculator with the latest payments I've made this week since payday and I have knocked a couple of months of my DFD!!
My aim has always been to be debt free by the time I'm 30 (July 2015) and it was sitting at Sept 15 so I was just a couple of months short. Now I have updated my snowball and I'm down to April 15!! :j A nice 3 months before my 30th!
Am thinking maybe I should shift the goalposts and perhaps aim for before my 29th?! :think:2019 will be my year!!0 -
My DFD is also coming down - now at 24mths! Very pleased maybe at some point I can get it to 18mths - lets see!
I decided to celebrate payday by making 3 extra £20 payments to 3 credit cards instead of treating myself as I did so many times previously over the years I ignored the cc's.
It works, it really really works - keep at it and chip away and the DFD gets closer and closer and the debt goes down - blimey it took a long time for me to work that lesson out.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

That would be amazing if you could knock a whole year off! It would make it a lot tougher challenge. You could always change it to having x amount of savings by your 30th.
Btw, I'm 29 in July too, I'm aiming to have mine blitzed by then too!0 -
Some great tips here. Just used 'MusicMagpie' to sell some old games. The freepost thing is in the post to me now, managed to get £41 for some very old PS3 games.. Not bad!#1 Reducing my overdraft limit: £800 OD

My comments are in blue lol
Husband works in web and telecom development. Fortunately and unfortunately he is very valuable in what he does lol
My DD was a day early and my DS was 5 days late so im hoping baby will hang on another week...though midwife said the head was engaged and ready to go so not sure what to think now!!
Unfortunately no one to help out much this week. My 2 close friends that have done in the past are both up to their eyeballs in work this week with it being school holidays here (lancashire) and they both cater for kids/families off school so cant help me out. Mum is the same, massive deadlines at work. So just plodding along really..This weekend will be interesting to say the least!DFW Total £21,800 to clear by Dec 2022

Nothing much going on here. No bids on Ebay yet and they end Sunday. Still plenty of watchers so trying to be optimistic. potentially sold £29 worth of kids stuff on FB, just awaiting payment, however i need to buy a few bits with that so not sure how much ill have left.
its my best friends wedding in a month, i am bridesmaid so its going to be quite costly next month, ive already noted down £25 for my hair appt, £25 monetary gift, £10 set aside for DS' shoes plus potentially money on the day for the stylist for my hair (its not clear if i will be paying for mine or the bride is) and money for drinks etc. Ill be doing my own make up and nails, husband is sorted and the kids practically are. Im also driving to avoid taxi cost but its still going to be about £100  Going to have to be very careful next month. Whether we get this extra money or not as if we do its going straight on debt not living costs.
Still trying to come up with a plan to sell my current car (the one i have finance on). Its currently £4400 that i owe, cant get credit to pay it off and not had any interest in someone paying the finance and me giving them the car. I just really want it out of my hairRoll on June!
