Not been on this thread for a while and have had a set back. My car failed it's MOT a few weeks ago and I had to put almost £450 on my overdraft as I didn't have any other money to use for it. I'm not going to adjust my debt amount or 1% amount though, because that would just depress me. I'm going to keep going and cut back spending as much as possible so that the OD goes down gradually over the next few months, while still paying towards the CC debt.
I've paid £60 to my credit card debt, which I believe is 2.22% of my debt (1% being £27). I'm #36.
Oh well, onto the next payment <sigh>.0 -
I'm on 15% now!
I'd like to say a big thank you to Little Miss as I printed off the list of 100 things and while quite alot of them I was already doing (selling, cashback, surveys) I am now doing user testing which I hadn't heard of and it has been great. So thank you so much!0 -
Morning all
well that £80 refund we are getting isn't going on the overdraft now, it's going on the CC, no point it being sat in the savers until the end of the month (when I can reduce the overdraft) when we have a CC to pay off!
Soooo, my minimum payment is £141 so going to add the £80 to it, so £221 will be paid to CC this week:) the extra is just over 1% of the total. So we will have paid approx 11% I think of debt 1 :j I think the outstanding is £5750 or thereabouts. So still quite high but a lot better than the £6500 it was in July!
Need to really get my thinking cap on or my eBay listing cap as husband won't be doing that much overtime this month, especially if the baby comes early, I have a calendar month to go until I'm due, so the overtime won't be as much and we need to be putting 25% on the overdraft to clear it for our deadline of march. That's £500  luckily not got any major spends now for the rest of the month so hoping nothing crops up!
I've set aside £50 for Xmas shopping this month, hoping to get a few bits for that, buying for 8 kids that are relatives/close friends kids so aiming to get as many gifts as I can with that. Then next month get the rest. Then I've just got a few token adult gifts to get in December, plus I'm making a lot this year (cushion covers, bags etc)

Can you earn vouchers with the search and click sites? I converted some swagbucks into £15 of amazon vouchers. Or cash out from cashback/survey sites? I know topcashbk doesn't have restricted amounts to transfer as i just got £16.09.
Bit of a slow week for me. Well very really. Hoping to sell some uni books to a new 3rd year next week.
Can anyone advise as the best way to do it as i no longer live close by. I would need to post the books and have her transfer the money but i guess the only way to do that is by bacs or cheque and that requires trustI havent got paypal.
Got 3 days of babysitting next week so that will be another 2%
Also debating whether to stop paying off my overdraft and put my %'s into a savings account as its now only a 0% overdraft which runs out next sept (student overdraft). I do have a nationwide ISA but i have nothing in it (maybe a few pence) but there is no longer a branch in my town so id need to open a new one. Would it be better to wait a month until i can finally close my CC as ill have 1 last statement of residual interest to come before a can close it. UGH decisions, decisions!!
Hope everybody is looking forward to the weekend1% at a time challenge member #127

Just checking in again, really.
I made an additional sheet on my expenditures spreadsheet to include the 1%'s I pay! Looks good.
Also paid my minimum payments, which means I'm up to 4% now!0 -
I have fallen in love with this thread. I really should spend less time reading it though and do something about my debt! I have got the husband going into the loft tomorrow so i can ebay everything that we don't need. There's no point it being in the loft, not being used, when it can be sold and used to clear some debt.
We have £2200 on a credit card at the moment that I would like to pay off. I have just transferred it a 0% card for 23 months.
This makes my 1% £22 which doesn't sound too scary when it is broken down like that.
Once this is paid off, I will then work towards paying off my car finance. This costs us £280 a month! I would love to be a stay at home mum with my baby, but at the minute this just isn't possible. If the car was paid off, it would certainly help.
I would love to be added to the list please.

Still no bids on Ebay but it's only day 2 so fingers crossed!!
Was rearranging the furniture in my bedroom yesterday and found loads of change in the weirdest places... behind the bookshelves, under the mattress, in the wardrobe?! So going to go count that up in before I go to bed and pay it into the bank tomorrow before spin class... not sure how much is there but hopefully that, with the extra little payments I've been making online will take me to my first 1%.Credit Card: £2318.71

Hi Everybody
Well I have just made my first 1% payment of £40 into my mums bank account only another 99% to go.
I sold some books for £17.50.
I had put some items on ebay and the buyers had paid so I transfered the rest of the money into my bank account to make up the £40. There is still some left but will leave it in Paypal until I have another £40. I really want a free listings day.
This weekend going to carry on sorting out the junk or should I say treasures in the garage and list them on a scheduled date ready for listing on the next free listings day.
Take care and have a great weekend
