    Hey, hope everyone is well!!

I've joined the payment a day challenge to run alongside this one and have been making little payments to my overdraft (£3-£5) all week. So far i'm up to £36.65. My 1% is £42 so very nearly there!! By tomorrow evening i'm aiming to be back here saying that I have reached my first %. Sorted out a big box of stuff for ebay too- going to try and add some of the cheaper items tomorrow and wait for a free listings weekend to add some of the more expensive items.

Well I'm still waiting for my £4.70 from music magpie, posted it on thursday, but today I've had an email saying theyre still waiting for my items. How long does it take for them to get the parcel?

On the plus side, I'm getting back on the ebay wagon! I was having a 'mare, because I can only post on saturdays, so always planned things to end on thursdays. But now I've discovered turbolister I can add things all week and just upload monday night for 3 days!

I've also made an agreement with my boyfriend that I'll sell everything he wants and we will split the profits! So just thought this might be an idea for eveyone who says they have nothing to sell.

Just a note to anyone who has a 1st gen ipod!! apparently Apple have recalled them all and are replacing. I sent mine off, and got a brand new 6th gen back! so this went straight on eBay and made me 4%!

  • Hi All

I have just taken another 5 items to the post office, most of them went for 99p but one went for the grand total of £1.45, so that is another £5.40 into the savings tin. (I am treating Ebay fees as part of my monthly expenses so that I can put everything I make in the tin as this makes me feel happier.

I have another 10 items ending today of which 3 are selling so that will be another £5.43, i seems to be my lucky amount.

In my tin I now have £34.10 so plus the 5.43 means I only need another 47p to get to 2% lets hope I get one more bid tonight.:j

Oooo and following a tip on here one of my items which is selling for 99p is......... you guessed it a bladeless razor. Love it.

Oi oi, think I might have been a little hasty in putting my 1% I'd made directly onto my credit card.

I send all the extra money I make to a separate account (My halifax one, that I just get the £5 from) I made 1% payment earlier last month, and forgot that my most recent pay was going to be minimal. (I work 5 days a week, but am only contracted to work 4, so I lose out 4 days a month in the holidays. I work in a school.)

Anyway, the money has just gone out for the broadband and taken me into my overdraft. Need to make some money quick (before the 23rd!)

    I have made my first 1%!! :j

Been making little overpayments towards my overdraft and they have finally added up to £42.

Need to think up ways of making/saving money because paying off my debts like this is starting to get addictive!!

    Only 99% still to go!!

  • Hey all,

Just a quick check in. Just eagerly anticipating my PPI refund now which will be a big weight off!

Had 1 order on fivesquids yesterday and 2 today.

Also got a voucher left over from my prize fund to be spent. Will use that for the weekly shop and put the cash aside.

    Keep percenting everyone!!

  • I've transferred the profit from the sale of a couple of old textbooks into my Open University Fund today and officially made it past the 100% mark!

    1% = £5
    Target = £500
    Total So Far = 100%

This is fantastic news for me, I thought it would be impossible to have this money together by the beginning of Feburary and now it means that I can consider doing another module towards my degree sooner than I would have been able to.

Would it be okay if I joined again with a new target? The rest of my degree will come to about £2500 if my calculations are correct, I'd like to get this money put aside as quickly as possible so I can start saving towards other financial goals. That would make my new goal £2500, with 1% being £25.
    Thank you competition posters!
  • Hi Everyone

Hope you all are staying well!

So today I have made the final payment to our first credit card on the road to debt freedom and have closed it down. We paid off £1909 over the last two months thanks to this challenge!! I've found myself really debating over whether to spend money on something or not and I'm finding it quite liberating!!!!!!

99 checking in now 11.43% paid off

So now I need to ask for your advice, we have another £200 put to the side to pay off another debt, however we're unsure of how best we could do this. I have another two credit cards in my name with a balance of about 3.5k and my other half has the rest in his name. I'm thinking that if we pay off my credit cards then I could apply for a 0% credit card for the 23 months and transfer some of his cards onto that one and then we could clear them faster. What do you think? The interest rate is the same on his cards as it is on mine? Any advice would be appreciated.
