Sorry for the edit - I forgot to include my own saving. It must be the excitement!!

Our stay is at the 4* Rivoli Ramblas and includes breakfast for around £350 for the 4 nights. Current price comparison is £546.

It is a little more expensive at this time as it will include the "Diada" or National day of Catalonia.

It will be our first visit to Barcelona and I will be revisiting your previous posts for information as I know you have covered Barcelona extensively and am not surprised that you are "Barcelona'd out". Any information you want to add will be gratefully received.

I came back on 27/5 feeling the same way after a week in the 5* Casa Fuster, thanks (once again) to whoever posted it in the original thread.

Editing to say that EJH paid up within 4 days of us returning home from Barcelona and 30 days after our stay in London earlier this year.

Sounds like there trying to get out of it... thought they would as they couldn't keep loosing all that money! i presume im ok as iv got the email as below:

Apsolutely no problemo Mr_ P. Just dont delete the email and any back up data ie screen shots etc until the money is back in the bank.

I would never book an hotel with easyjet I found the best way is to phone the resort you want to travel to and contact the tourist info they can always point you to a good hotel at a good rate which you can often book online direct with the hotel.

Flights

I found a flight cheaper than an easyjet flight and thought I would get double the differance in there promotion however in very very small print it said.

Claims can only be made for competitor flights which are due to depart within an hour of the departure time of the booked easyJet flights.

I found only 4 in all the UK that qualified.

if it was easy there would be no point offering it.Its a marketing tool.Just like the Ryanair one, they dont intend to have to pay out!
The Thing with EJH, was it was incredibly easy to exploit it. Rather than trim their prices so they really are cheapest, they chose to close the guarantee

just to say we checked out on Thurs morning and the refund £852.40 x 2 was back on the cards by Saturday. Never thought for a moment they would repay so fast. I guess they want to clear the indebtedness asap for their accounts

regarding barcelona, if you are starting to feel barcelonerd out, may i recommend a train to sitges. 5 euro return. runs at 6 mins past the hour and 36 mins past the hour to St Vincenc platform 5 from the Sants Estacio. Get your tickets from the booths. journey 30 mins and biy do I love Sitges, whitewashed, great beach and nice bars/shops.
