I thought Dublin wasn't covered by this!
At the time, it was in the drop down list. The results included the DD guarantee below the accom listed. Initially the claim was rejected but I argued the case, provided a screenshot showing the grey band with the DD guarantee clearly labeled.
As dmg24 says "ah those were the days" - originally up to a weeks holiday ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD for nothing, before they brought all these annoying conditionss like 180 days till refund, max 2 days, easyjet destinations only, 1 booking per family, only every 3 months.0 -
Hi all, flying to Milan at the end of this month for 2 nights, will Hotel Madison fit in easyjet hotel T &C?
-Hotel pronto quote: cold buffet breakfast, easyjet hotel quote bed & breakfast, will they reject my claim of DTD ?
- does Hotel Pronto charge credit card/fee charge on top of the quote?
Any expert comment would be welcome, thanks0 -
Hello all ... hoping someone might be able to help (or make me feel better at the very least) ... I think they are trying to fight dirty with my refund!
Timeline of events ...
My holiday for 4 nights in Barcelona was booked before all the Ts&Cs changed ... I booked/submitted my claim on Feb 7 (10pm or thereabouts) ...
On the morning of Feb 8 I got back a message (that was corrupted i.e. between every word was £*!"s*/fc") ...
I replied to say "I'm sorry your message was corrupt - please resend" ... and in the meanwhile ... submitted a fresh claim with a different website ... at approx 3pm on the 8th (so still within the 24 hour time period) ...
Feb 9 - 9pm - message recieved "I am writing to let you know that your claim has been approved by our Head Office and £244 will be refunded to your card"
Feb 10 - 11am - message recieved in reply to my second submitted claim " Please provide us with a booking reference"
Feb 10 - 11:30am - my reply "the booking reference was in the e-mail ... xyz123"
Feb 10 - 12 noon - message recieved "ok it has now been accepted - we will refund on your return"
Feb 10 - 1pm - my reply "could you please confirm the figure in £GBP that will be refunded and let me know which of my two claims has been accepted?"
Feb 12 - 12 noon - my chasing them "I refer to my below chain of emails - could someone please confirm the sum that will be refunded"
Feb 12 - 5pm - their standard email that everyone else seems to have got :
====
Subject : **template** Double Price Guarantee
Dear MrChris1986,
I have checked the website https://www.travelrepublic.co.uk and have verified that your 'Double-Price Guaranteed'
claim is valid as per our Terms and Conditions.
The sum of £1076 (the Price difference of 538 multiplied by two) will be credited to your credit card
account approximately 5 working days after the end of your stay at the Hotel NH Calderon .
If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I wish you a pleasant stay!
Kindest regards,

Feb 16 - message from them - "just in case you did not recieve the email on the last few times I have tried to send to you - your price match has been accepted and £244 will be refunded"
=== skip a few months ===
went away in April ... didn't have a particularly good time but that is by the by ...
====
May 22 - 7:30pm - I message them ... "I refer to the below e-mail which said I would be refunded the sum of £1076 within 5 days of my stay ... could someone please confirm that the refund will be issued by close of business tomorrow"
I was feeling a bit forceful
May 23 - 1am - their reply ... which was simply ... a copy paste of the up to date T&C's ... which I think they were essentially trying to say ... you'll get your refund within 180 days of check out and not sooner ...
I didn't get chance to write a snotty reply saying that I booked before the T&C's changed and I am to be refunded within 30 days of check out ... when ... wait for it ...
I've been refunded £244 ...
Of course ... I wholly intend to dispute it/get the rest of my money ...
I'm just not sure what is the best way to go about it ... am I to send more e-mails back and forth hoping they will give in ... or is it better to send a letter before action and threaten to issue a claim in the small claims court ...?
I have all the emails going back and forth between us to support my case ... I'm just not sure that my claim could fail because I simply didn't acknowledge the few emails that they sent to me saying I would be refunded the £244 because I was pursuing the big money ...
I know if I issue a claim and lose ... the worst case ... I'll lose the Court fee and that is pretty much it because it would be a small claims track matter and no solicitors fees would be payable ... so I wouldn't be in much worse a situation than I am now ... no?
Any help anyone can shed on the matter/point me in the right direction/give me a suggested wording ... I'd be very happy ...
I currently feel like a bit of an idiot to be honest ... the missus says I should have just booked a proper holiday in the normal way in the first place rather than trying to do EasyJet over and right now I have to agree ... lol
Please help
Thanks in advance

Just phone them. No satisfaction write to them. No satisfaction contact your CC provider.
On a technicality, they could argue 1 claim per 30 days (at the time) your origanal claim was for £244. The £1074 could be argued is a 2nd claim and not really valid (although, granted, they did accept it)0 -
Is this offer still on??
I have found a hotel in sardinia is 180 more expensive on easyhotels than another site...
Can I still get double the difference?0 -
Hi Peter,
Have a read of the last few pages ... all will become clear! xGone ... or have I?0 -
GONE!
The t&cs, new today I think, now offer a refund and a £10 sorry voucher.0 -
Even more tight ...Refunds and £10/15€ discount voucher forwarding will only be made after completion of stay by the claimant at the named accommodation establishment for the named booking and will be credited within 180 days after completion.
So they're not doing you any favours, and you still have to wait 180 days after the trip.
Looks like best now only to book if they are the best price (they are certainly more competitive than they were), but make sure you go through Pigsback or Quidco!Gone ... or have I?0 -
Right my dad said that this would go belly up.
between my sister and i we have nearly £2000 to be refunded by E/Jet.
Were booked in to Amsterdam end of july for 4 nights.
As i booked on an interest free credit card, my sister didn't and took the money out of her savings.
As it is a present and she didn't mind what she lost in interest for a few months.
I have e-mails stating that i wil be refunded within 30 days. Surely now as they have changed the t/c's they can't do that with us can they.0
