HI, another quick confimation: Would they accept a price match with accomline
    or
    yeego . com?

They both look pretty much the same, and you pay them by the looks of it - not the hotel

    cheers :)

After not recieving my £900 refund, and 30 days passing after my completion of stay, I sent three emails to hotelopia with no response.

I telephoned today and was told that their terms and conditions had changed and I would recieve my refund within 180 days not 30 days.

I explained that the T&Cs when I booked stated 30 days, to which she replied that ther T&Cs also stated that the T&Cs could be changed at any time!!!

I then told her that they sent me an email stating my refund would be 30 days, and they can't just change their minds, and if I had known they might not honour their T&Cs and emails I would have cancelled the booking and booked elsewhere at £450 cheaper.

Then she said she had noticed that my refund was actually done on friday 25th May, and would take upto 7 days to show on my card. Thats more like it.

It seems my refund is on its way, but would they be allowed to make you adhere to different (later) T&Cs than the ones in place when you booked.

    Hope that makes sense.

    John

    Hi John,

You are right, they cannot change the terms of your contract after it has been formed, unless you agree to it (you never know, someone might!).

I have booked at the end of March and got this confirmation too. Will they actually pay us 5 days after the end of the stay??

I'm pleased to confirm that your price guarantee claim has been approved
and the amount of 384 GBP will be credited to your credit/debit card
account approximately 5 working days after the end of your stay at the
    Hotel .

If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact
    me.

I wish you a pleasant stay!

Hi Will this loophole still work for a family of four. I notice it's says on it's terms and conditions it is for 2 people 2 nights only. Could we book 2 separate rooms and use different credit/debit cards or would we come unstuck because we have the same surname and address.
We are looking to stay 2 nights in Venice 30th and 31st of July. I haven't tried this before so I don't want to come unstuck. Thanks for any help.

    Joto,

I think you would most likely be caught out on that one, especially if the cards are registered at the same address and the same surname. Maybe book one room with the DTD Guarantee, and the other one with the cheapest option?

    silaslang,

Best of luck with this one, keep in touch.

    jimmymac,

Don't think yeego.com would be acceptable. Most of their prices in Euros, and also your card is not debited until 14 working days before your stay.

    Sorry! x

Hello. I am a long time lurker, first time poster.

Can anyone explain what the 180 day bit means? That's half a year, so hardly worth waiting that length of time.

I am looking to do two nights in Edinburgh in July.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks a million.
