Morning everyone  Sending hugs and good wishes to everyone who needs some tlc.

Went for a lovely long walk last night with a friends dog, fun for us and nice to give them a break for the night.

The weather is dull here this morning and I am feeling dull and tired. Late night (nothing exciting just thinking about too many things) and early morning. I hate wishing the days away, but just can't wait to finish work.

Have a good Thursday everyone x
  • snoozer - No shame at all, in fact I've been draging my heals all the way. It's been a long hard battle for 5 years and I only have this one module and my dissertation left and hopefully I will be graduating in the summer.

Like you I have worked full time all the way through and in all honesty the only thing that's making me buckle down is that I want it all to be over this year so I can get my life back.

Hopefully you'll crack on, believe me it will all be worthwhile in the long run :D

    Hi all :hello:

Happy birthday Tru and a ((hug)) to anyone who needs one.

Miserable start to the day here. DS1 in vile mood with chicken pox, poor thing. I came downstairs from settling DS2 in bed, to have 2.5-year-old shout at me 'Go in the kitchen NOW Mummy - I SAID go in the kitchen!'. DH has man flu and hardly spoke to me this morning, he's coming home from work and no doubt will go to bed for the day. Would be nice if I got a day in bed when I feel poorly. DS2 absolutely full of beans and tearing round the house pulling everything out of cupboards and generally making mess a lot quicker than I can clean it up. DS1's potty training is going brilliantly but he tried to flush a whole loo roll this morning - aargh.

On the good side, my freebie bar of Nestle Heaven (:T to the person who posted about it) arrived so am stuffing my face and enjoying a cup of tea. It is actually quite peaceful here in the kitchen- I will have to get DS1 to banish me in here more often.

Not sure what to make for tea, was going to make Gingham Ribbon's cabbage pie from the veggie thread but think I might wimp out and make a chilli in the SC instead as we have mince that needs eating up. Other than that, plans are to survive the day, hopefully without shouting at any of the family.

Sorry to whinge - hope everyone has a brilliant day.

    Hello all :hello:

Happy Birthday Tru. Weather is changing here, I 'm glad I managed to cut the lawn yesterday. Getting ready for my 13.30 job interview ( Invigilators post), downloaded the guidance for Invigilators and one of the paragraphs reminds you not to wear squeky shoes:p . I have no idea what the panel will ask... .
Otherwise nothing else planned for today. DD's friend will come after school, better make some home made potato wedges since they always seem to be very popular. Good day to you all, will check on you later.

A very good morning to all :hello:

    and

    Happy birthday Tru! :T :bdaycake:

Well I'm about to go out on a series of transport surveys and won't be back until 22:30 if there are no delays on the Underground  Still, it pays the bills...

It will be the right day for me to use one of the £5 Pret A Manger vouchers I have, so I shall have a free snack, and I have no foreseen expenses at all today. Unfortunately my work schedule is a bit weird for the next week or so, so I shall only be able to do some basic housework. But as soon as I have a full day free, springcleaning is a must. So I will refresh my memory by consulting the Stardrops and vinegar threads :p

Have a great day everyone! :)

    Happy Birthday tru:bdaycake:!!!!

Well it's a lovely sunny day as Shez said, and I've washing flapping on the line, always lifts the spirits (until I think of the ironing:rotfl: )

After my restful day yesterday, it's nose to the grindstone today! See Aussie, no fear I'll become a lazy moo (although it is my ambition:D , there's a lazy moo inside me just longing to come out!) While I love the spring sunshine it doesn't half show up the dirty windows!:o Going to clean them in a minute and dazzle the neighbours!

JackieO I think the reason young and not so young get on is we're both more relaxed about everything. Youngun's don't know enough to worry too much and the more mature know that most of its not worth worrying about:rotfl:

Twink, is kyle OK? Just that I haven't noticed her posting for a few days (might be I've been too rushed to take it in if she has, then I'm:o ) Hope all the littlies are OK.

Well my coffee has gone stone cold so I'm off to reheat it in the microwave then set-to those windows.

((((((((hugs))))))))) to those feeling poorly or worried.

    CMxx

  • Happy Birthday Tru :bdaycake:

Glad to see you back Pen-Pen - I love reading your threads :D

Good luck Paulie's Girl, SSB and Moggins with your interviews

Spiddy100 - Poor you with your household of poorly people

Another day at w***, Dh is at home tucked up in bed with flu (hope he doesn't give it to me _pale_ ). Didn't get round to making choc chip cookies last night - so will do them tonight, as well as making some red nose day cakes for DD's school for tomorrow.

Tea tonight will be chicken with olives and sundried tomato, jacket potato and salad

Have a great day everyone and (((((hugs)))))) to you all :D
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Morning All!!

Have just skimmed the thread so hugs to all in need. Hope you and DH are feeling better PP.

Rang EDF Energy today and I owe them nothing!!! :j In fact I'm in credit by £3.50. Might look into changing suppliers over the weekend actually, especially as water and council tax have gone up.

OS wise not a lot happening, hopefully DH has my washing flapping on the line, I shall pop home to check shortly. The house is pretty spick and span but I do have some clean washing that needs putting away, did half of it last night but got distracted. floors need sweeping again.

Dinner will be a pot luck one again as we are at a party until 6 tonight, so DD will be full of party food but the rest of us will be famished.

I glanced at my propagators last night and my lavender and morning glory are coming through!!! :j I get such a buzz from seeing that, especially as I forgot to soak the morning glory seeds before I planted them. I just drenched them once I remembered. DH is grumbling about the kitchen being full of potting stuff, which is why I asked for a greenhouse for Mothers Day!! If he went out and got it, there wouldn't be a problem, would there! ;)

Right must fly, have a lovely day all.
