  • Gatehouse increased their easy access ISA from 4.65% to 5.15%

    Moneyfacts not updated yet.

How easy is the application process? All online verification or posting docs required?
I think nearly all banks can verify you online if possible. But if you are one of the few people, like me, who they can't... Google the banks name proof of ID. Some accept email copies or other online methods, but some like Gatehouse want certified copies in the post which can be expensive. I have also had old accounts which refused me access after new money regulations were introduced.
  • Mansfield BS 5.5% Double Access Cash ISA

Application by branch and postal only.

This is a headline rate but comes with some complications so probably only for those who are willing to put up with it or are near a branch.

How good are Mansfield at honouring initial rates? Their list of other interest rates makes me suspicious about the longevity of this, and they only need to give 14 days' notice of a reduction

Since there isn't a list here or anywhere else, Moneyfacts really needs a search filter that only shows flexible ISAs.

Have wished for this for ages.  I only open flexible ISA's and it would save a lot of time if there was such a list somewhere. They are a very popular choice so I don't know why.   Savings Champion don't offer this either.

So after giving Moneybox a couple of weeks grace, decided to look at transferring my ISA over to Gatehouse. Wasn't totally clear whether they were part of the electronic transfer scheme or not (some sites say they are, some not), so gave them a call. They said not as they require a posted transfer form, so don't think I'm going to bother as not enough of an increase to make it worth the hassle.

Oddly, Gatehouse Bank PLC are listed on Cynergy's BACs ISA transfer providers list, but not Shawbrook's.

Moneybox, however, aren't on either list so if that's correct (and they're not on it in some other guise), then you'll face the same problem whoever you transfer your ISA to in the future.

I transferred an ISA from Coventry BS to Gatehouse and it was completed in less than a week and no missing days interest.
