I just wish a lot more providers would offer flexible ISAs now as well
I notice that the new Zopa Smart ISA (5.08%) is flexible but does not allow transfers in.
I cannot see the Zopa Smart ISA shown as an available account in their APP
The Smart ISA is basically a 'pot' within the Smart Saver, so try adding a pot.

I have a Newcastle BS fixed rate isa maturing on 3rd November and I quite like the look of the Nat West 2 year fix at 5.65%. 2 year fixes seem to be on the wane.
Does anyone know please if the Nat West Fixed Rate isa on offer needs a cash deposit or is it possible to open it with a zero balance and then transfer in?

The Marcus and Saga cash ISA interest rates have both increased from 4.50% to 4.75% today (25/10/2023).

Hi Kazza242, it is the bonus element that has increased, and so requires account holders to manually renew/update their existing bonus.

Hi is it quite standard for 5 year fixed ISAs to have a 1 year penalty for early withdrawals pls?

Also is it only possible to split up previous years ISAs into different ISA accounts? Or is it possible to split this year's too please?

Definitely common to have a penalty, 1 year is long imo, but not really looked a fixing for that long.

yes you can split previous years assuming provider allows partial transfers. No it’s not possible to split this years as current year contributions should stay together, new money in one cash isa.

Yes - 365 days is the usual interest penalty for a 5 year fixed rate cash ISA.

I thought if the cash ISA provider offers a wrapper, you can hold more than one of their products within that wrapper? EG a fixed rate cash ISA and an easy access cash ISA, both for the same year.
