Five weeks to the next rate meeting.
I think we are in limbo, more likely to see cuts and issues withdrawn.
    Didn`t take long!

Paragon 1yr fixed ISA 5.75% has been withdrawn.

Not replaced yet but 18 month fix is 5.75% for existing customers only.

It still seems to be available at the moment.

Thinking of transferring previous year ISA money sitting in Principality 4.2% and Virgin ISA 4.25% into Tesco Bank Flexible ISA 4.4%. Are withdrawals from Tesco Bank ISA truly instant (like is the case from Virgin isa)?

I would imagine so if their other accounts are anything to go by. I've had Tesco Internet Savers in the past and payments both in and out were instant. Payments into their Junior Cash ISAs are also instant, although I obviously can't comment on withdrawals as they aren't possible.

Question for people who have done a transfer out from their Virgin Money ISA - which detail did you use for the current provider on the transfer authority form?

    Name: Virgin Money
Address: Operations, Jubilee House, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne
    Post code: NE3 4PL

I applied for the Natwest 2 year Fixed ISA last week and asked for the transfer of funds from a Virgin Money easy access ISA to be transferred into the account, however Natwest only required the sort code and account number. However there's been an issue with the transfer which has resulted in me having to speak to Virgin Money. During that conversation the agent mentioned that they'd had a lot of issues the last couple of weeks with Natwest ISA transfer requests as they were being sent to an old Virgin Money address in Newcastle which has closed instead of the correct address in Clydebank! So I would recommend checking the correct address required with Virgin Money.
  • I opened the Natwest 2 year Fixed ISA and left it unfunded until the details showed up online. I then requested the transfer of a Virgin ISA via their online transfer in form on August 12th. No notification showing  receipt of my request and no movement as yet. I realise it was just before their deadline so they probably had an increase in transfer requests, but reading saverbynature's comments I'm beginning to wonder if the transfer will complete. Can anyone comment on their timeframes transferring from Virgin to Natwest?   Is it possible to speak to / Email a non-chatbot to find out if the transfer has been started?

Newcastle double access at 4.5% is now the top paying easy access ISA. However, in addition to the double access limitation, it's also annual interest only.

Very tempted, especially as I'm already a customer (£1 in their base rate tracker easy access...)

Ring Virgin ISA team on 0345 600 7301 and check.  I've just contacted them re failed transfer and, according to very helpful guy called Neil, NatWest having been sending the transfer requests to wrong place (Gateshead instead of Clydebank) despite having been told about this issue by Virgin.  Unless you check with Virgin you'll only find out when a letter arrives from NatWest (got one today dated 15th re transfer initiated on 11th)
