Just switched to 5.55% 3 year deal. Such a simple process.
I started on a 3y 5.2% three weeks ago I think it was.
Then 5.5% and now 5.55%. That’s 5.86% compounded over 3 year I think.
For 10 minutes work logging in and switching twice I’ve made £110 extra money if compounded.
Come on Virgin up those rates, Please.0 -
Is there a separate thread for cash ISAs that allow transfer in please?0

Use the Moneyfacts site and select ISA Transfer as the type and sort by rate order.

I think from memory you get 14 days from funding. Not 100% sure. You could try calling them and ask if they could make the move for you. Tell them about your phone issue.1 -
Just did the calculation and my Virgin Exclusive ISA issue 5 with 4.25% is already in a position that taking the hit of 60 days interest would give me a better return of £19 with a rate of of 5.45% and £81 with a rate of 5.9%. The Virgin easy access exclusive ISA is at 4.25% so the same rate as the fix. Maturity is 29th March 2024. Playing the cooling off game for a while would also be an option to see if ISA rates jump to 6.x%
Keep it in and take the risk that rates will be similar or higher in March as they are now or go for security and lock in 5.9% now. Planning to use the funds for property end of 2024 or 2025 (depending on mortgage rates in Euro zone) so a 2y fix needs consideration.

Just had to call up Principality and cancel my ISA transfer from Virgin Money.0

... I think! They're summary is slightly confusing as it first says:dlevene said:Allows transfers.
"Available to eligible UK residents over the age of 16 only who ... Have not subscribed to another Cash ISA in the tax year"
But then it says:
"Current year subscriptions must be transferred in full"
So a bit unclear as to whether they accept transfers from existing Cash ISAs opened this tax year...0 -
I think that's standard wording. I would take that to be an ISA that allows transfers in.1
