Can anyone tell me why Vanquis 3 year fixed rate ISA isn't on the best ISA list, it is higher that the current top of the list by quite a margin?

My RBS 2 Year ISA is now open and I can see it on the app. Despite no funds in there yet (as doing a transfer in) it states on the account under View Interest Rate tab "Your interest rate is 5.90% tax free. This is based on your balance at close of business on 19 July 2023".Eirambler said:RBS/NatWest being RBS/NatWest I see. Knowing them, there'll be interest paid until the formal start date alright, but probably at some lower rate that's hidden away in the corner of a Ts&Cs webpage somewhere.
My advice would be to do yourself a favour and just use a bank that's fair and transparent, not that bunch of absolute chancers.
So seems clear to me you get the correct interest rate from date of openingI've just had a chat session with a Natwest advisor who's adamant that interest isn't accrued before the "starting date", which just doesn't sound right to me.1 -

https://www.vanquis.co.uk/savingsI don't know if I'm seeing things, about 2 hours ago Moneysupermarket had a Vanquis 3 year fixed rate ISA at 6.05% and now it isn't there.Sorry to waste peoples time.

I have rung NatWest and spoken to their UK ISA team and they confirm 100% that interest is added from the day money is deposited into your open account. She also confirmed you can have both RBS and NatWest ISA and they come with separate £85k FSCS cover as eventhough they are part of the same group they have separate allowances. I also checked on FSCS website and it confirmed what she said.JGal said:Shedman said:

No movement on the fixed rate ISAs though despite dropping in the rate tables, I wonder if this time they will allow more 14 day cooling off periods to lapse before acting...Kazza242 said:The Virgin Money Easy Access Cash ISA Exclusive (issue 2) interest rate has increased to 4.25% today.0 -
I’ve waited until today to move mine, 5.5% to 5.55%.intalex said:

This will get me to the boe rise in 2 weeks.
I expect rate to rise just beforehand, probably just after as well.
I can hope.
