If there is a lot of hassle and hoop jumping and delay with NatWest ISA, they can keep it. Other providers seem to get theirs up and running/"instantly".
It's looking like there might be, not knowing if the application is successful or whether more info really is needed or not isn't very customer friendly. One could miss out on something else waiting for them to grace you with their decision and the outcome. Never had anything to do with them and ideally didn't want it but envisaged a short relationship.
Have not had to wait for the result of any other ISA. Hope it's not a case of offer it without considering the potential demand.
Yeah, cheers but nah, I will stick with yes,  thank you and no.

    Thank you.

Re. new RBoS ISA. Just had an email purporting to be from RBoS about using a 'security partner' called HooYu to verify identity. Anybody heard of these folks and are they legit ?

They are legit, I had to use them to verify my identities when I opened bank accounts with them.

Natwest Fixed Rate ISA - I suspected no interest accrues until start date, just asked on Chat if deposits made before start date gets  5.90% answer I received was -

"No .., You will earn interest only from the start date".
That’s odd, as their product page seems to imply something else. They aught to clear it up on there too. “Interest is paid on a tiered basis at these fixed rates from the date you open your account until the Maturity Date. This means you'll earn one rate on your entire balance. Interest is calculated daily and paid annually to your ISA on the first business day in April and on the Maturity Payment Date.”

Others are free to ask Natwest to see what answers they receive, I was answered by an agent as opposed to Cora response.

Logic of not paying interest until start date would be why have a delayed start date if interest was going to be paid at same rate prior to that date.
Are they saying that any money deposited before 4th Sept (start date) doesn`t get paid any interest.
Or the rate you get is lower than the 5.7% until the start date?
My Q was  "Do deposits made before start date gets 5.90%"

Agent reply  "No .., You will earn interest only from the start date".
I called in at Nat West today to ask precisely this question, as I had been reading all the t&c's and it wasn't stated when interest was paid from. I had not read this sub-forum in advance.

Bank foyer "greeter" smiled when I asked the question. Confirmed ZERO interest is paid on any deposits or transferred balances credited before the "start date". I asked if he was certain as that seemed odd, and he said yes, absolutely, and many people had been asking this question apparently.

No interest before start date and hooyu checking, I,m off to somewhere else. Probably out of all, surprisingly, Nationwide @ 5.5%.

Given what they have put in their Information Sheet ("Interest is paid at these fixed rates from the date you open your account until the Maturity Date") then if they don't pay interest until the start date then it'll be a formal complaint followed by Ombudsman if need be....

I sent a message via Twitter and was told interest would accrue from the date of funding. The website also says “ Interest is paid on a tiered basis at these fixed rates from the date you open your account until the Maturity Date.”
