All those who fixed over a year ago and longer on poor rates and had to sit and watch as rates kept rising are now getting "near the top" rates.

I opened an ISA account with Charter at the beginning of this tax year but never funded it.
It should have been funded within 30 days of opening but it`s still there when I login waiting to be funded.
Obviously the rate as gone up and now pays 4,41% for a 1year fix.
Charter doesn`t have issue numbers for their fix accounts.
If I fund it now I assume the latest rate will be applied and not the rate when I first opened it.

I wouldn't have thought so. The most likely thing is that they will return the money and say your too late. If they didn't you would get the interest rate of a different product.

It doesn`t name the product by an issue number,it`s just called a one year fixed rate cash ISA.

The original 30 day window to fund is up so why is it still showing to be funded.

Are you able to open a new fixed rate ISA (If not I suggest you ask them to close account you opened)

Mentioned twice which to me makes the point ultra clear

    • once you have applied for the account we must receive your deposit/transfer within 30 days

    • you cannot make regular deposits into a Fixed Rate Cash ISA. Once you have applied for the account we must receive your deposit/transfer within 30 days

Even though you haven't funded it Charter may have registered it with HMRC. If so it may count as your only new ISA for the year and your stuck with it. Probably best to discuss it with them.
