A bit wary of moving too soon as just rang Virgin to see about moving my 3.02% ISA opened on 20 Sept to 3.07% one and no problems doing so as within 14 days cooling off, but given the heads up not to do yet as a new rate due today after 2pm.

And its here ..... 3.15 1 year 4.12 2 year

My 14 day cooling off finished yesterday. So too late for me but I would lose more than I invested if I withdraw.

You can`t keep jumping about whenever a new rate comes out especially if there`s penalties.
You`d be like a dog chasing it`s tail.
What I`ve got fixed now for one year, I`m sticking with because at maturity the rates will be higher anyway.

Just in case it matters to you, it seems that once opened, this ISA might only be available to view and manage through internet banking and not via the app.

I have had Issue 1 of this for a couple of years paying 0.50% but when Issue 2 was released the rate was increased to 1.75%.

Now the same account is showing as Issue 1 in online banking at 1.75 % but as Issue 2 on the app. Unfortunately the app doesn't show the interest rate.

I am hoping that my rate will increase to 2.25% but if not I will open a new Issue 2 and transfer my funds across.

Has anyone else got any thoughts?  

Edit: I have just checked on the VM page for rates on previously offered accounts and Issue 1 is showing at 2.25%. Hopefully they will update the rate on my online account in due course (plus an email also).

Great rate - shame it's only available to Virgin current accounts holders. Hopefully it'll raise the bar though and others will follow.

Coventry will have a 2.25% instant access (max 6 withdrawals) available from next Friday without all the faffing around of opening current accounts.

I sent a message on CHAT asking if the rates will increase to 2.25% in line with the new ISA on offer and I was told that I would have to apply for a new ISA and transfer across.
I was then asked if it was a sole or joint ISA I would be transferring

I ended the chat session at that point.
