If you don't make a payment for 366 days your interest rate will drop to the standard rate. Any payment you make resets the clock.
    Thanks.

Does that mean you can extend the bonus rate for up to two years?

I think the bonus rate of 1.5% vs 1.4% will continue for as many years as you go on paying into the account. The £10 Save Together payments stop after 12 months.

I notice the first page includes this new regular saver ISA from the Saffron.

Seems this has already made it to the closed issues section on their site - seems it got pulled on Friday.I would have been eligible for it - which is a shame.

Saffron BS Members' Regular Saver Cash NISA - 3.50% NEW
    Minimum deposit: £10. Min - Max monthly deposit: £10 - £1,270.
Operated via: Branch, Internet or Post.
Notes: 12 monthly payments up to £1270 are permitted until the end of the term. Unlimited withdrawals permitted. Available to existing members holding £100 in a savings account for 12 months or on loan via a mortgage only.

I received the Nationwide email informing of the new rates.

My husband's Santander ISA matured today and he arranged (last week) for it to be transferred to a Nationwide 3 year fix at, I think, 1.80%.

According to the T & C's he should be able to tell them to cancel the 1.80% and open their 2% 3 year fix - hopefully.
It would make a difference of just over £100 annum - not to be sniffed at.

Thanks for this. I applied to xfer a matured ISA in (probably en route to S&S) and had noted the rate as 1.5%. Pleasant surprise :)

Kazza - just spotted that the Notts BS Regular saver (currently 3%) is variable not fixed. Might be worth updating the first post.

I don't know if this has already been discussed, but is it worth mentioning HSBC's Save Together offer on their Loyalty Cash ISA, which requires an Advance current account and pays £10 per month on either a £300 lump sum deposit/transfer or monthly deposit of £25?

Surprised this has not been mentioned before, for those not looking to invest the full allowance this can be attractive.

As an example £2500 saved with Nationwide Flex @ 5% combined with £300 in HSBC yielding £120 equates to around 8 or 9%, depending on Tax status

If desired the £2500+ can be added to the ISA in March 2016. The rate drops the more you are trying to save but conversely increases for those with less to play with.

At the very least its 40% on £25/month even if you ditch the ISA later.

The only other issue is it is combined with another HSBC a/c but could prove useful for those also wishing to use a 6% regular saver.

    Cheers

Thank you for pointing this out lanstrom

I only opened a fixed 2 year account a few days ago and am still awaiting a transfer of my ISA funds from my previous provider.

I noticed the site is now showing 1.4% and 1.65% for 123 Customers. I hope they honour the 2% as it was when I made the application!
