    Why do you think you can't add new money to your HSBC ISA?
    That is what I plan to do.
    I opened my HSBC ISA on 30/03 and I have an ISA transfer in which is in progress (via snail mail). I am going to add funds by bank transfer in a few days to make a total of 50k and expect cashback of £250.

    The person I spoke to at HSBC on the phone said you could only make one deposit into the fixed Cash ISA, which was my ISA transfer. I said I can't find anything in the terms and conditions that say that. They then came back 20 mins later and said you might be able to add more using the transfer in pdf form from the HSBC website. I wasn't convinced, so went with another provider for this Tax year. Be interested in how you get on.

    I haven't recieved my £50 binus from Monument yet, seeing as by all accounts most people got theirs first thing the next morning I'm a little concerned. I did just speak to someone on live chat and they confirmed I'd completed all the steps and was eligible for the bonus but said to wait the full 48hrs stated payment timeframe and contact them again if it's not been paid still.

    As i said the other day, I'm super impressed with their app and customer service so far, It's a shame I won't be sticking around.

    Santander I think. I had hoped that I got the bonus this morning so I could open the acount and transfer today as I'm super nervous that the Santander offer is going to be pulled any day, but hopefully Monument come through and my little bonus get's paid ASAP so I can move on. But if it is pulled before I get a chance theres always HSBC but I don't really want to go through opening a new current account and all that malarky, plus I'm holding out for a switch bonus from them at some point for a current account anway .

    I opened Plum cash ISA back on 10th April 2025, so last year. After trying to follow discussion on this thread I feel a bit lost. The interest used to be 5.67%, then it has dropped I believe. I would like to transfer this ISA elsewhere, as it seems a bit too complicated for my needs 😕.

    Can I request a transfer now without loosing any interest/bonus or should do wait till 1st of May (I just made this date up)? Does any of "big high street banks" support an easy transfer from Plum?

    Hi

    Choose which ISA provider you want to invest in then from that new account request a transfer in from Plum.

    Not all ISA's allow transfers in.

    Your choices are

    Fixed rate

    Variable rates

    Flexible ISA (allows you to withdarw money then put it back without losing ISA status)

    I chose Monument as they;

    Allow transfers in

    Are a Flexible ISA

    Have a good rate of interest

    Have a referral bonus of £50-Closes today.

    Lots of choices out there.

    I think I would wait until the start of May, I trust you have received your yearly bonus. Don't move if you have not. I moved to Paragon and it took over 20 days and then only after I made a complaint to Plum, good luck.

    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    HSBC: I submitted application online (not in app) on Sunday the 12th, they say it can take up to 5 days to open the account. I do not see anything in online banking as off today. When the account is actually opened, what is going to be the start date? Will they backdate it to Sunday, or will it be some later date? I have some RS maturing that I would like to use to fund the account, but I might miss the window if it backdated to Sunday.
