Hiya everyone, long time since I posted here - due to holidays and being snowed under at work >:(
Bad news I'm afraid - the weight is creeping up again and I don't hold out much hope of losing it again this side of 2005
But come January 4th - I will be back on the diet trail with a vengance...
Been reading the thread to keep up to date with you all - keep up the good work.....0 -
It was on Radio 4 today, I think the PM programme, about how not getting enough sleep makes you put weight on. I missed the vital bit unfortunately and can't find anything on the Beeb's website.
What I want to know is did it tell you how to get enough sleep if your other half works late into the night and you're an owl rather than a lark yourself?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

BTW, am currently hooked on Fennel Tea. Yummy, and it's supposed to curb the appetite! ;DSignature removed for peace of mind0 -
Some more gems, this time from my local paper's weekend christmas food supplement.
1. If you eat organic dark chocolate you can eat more of it because it has fewer calories.
2. Beer is the least calorie-full alcholic drink by volume - but you do drink more of it. Even so it's probably better than shots.
3. Champagne or fizzy wine is less calorie-full than lots of other things at 100 cal per glass I think.
4. I think mixing the chocolate with the champagne was meant to be good for you but can't remember why. I mean eating one while drinking the other, not dunking your organic choccy in champagne.
5. We all know that chocolate has lots of hidden nutrients, but - and this isn't from the local paper but a recent news item - it's also good for coughs!
6. Think about how to cut down your fat intake over Christmas: dried fruit was suggested as a snack alternative to peanuts and crisps, or figs and dates.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I use the Palmers .... body shop stuff tend to be a tad to wiffy for my taste :-/
BUT THEN I LOST IT! On Monday. Grrrr. Fell out of my pocket at that nice meal I went to. One of the waiters picked it up and they all had a debate about whether you ate it or put it on you, but then the chap who found it went home and no-one knew where he'd put it. Chance it will have turned up when they were clearing the hall, so I may get it back on Thursday but I'm not holding my breath.
Back to Strawberry lipsyl which doesn't do a lot for the chocolate cravings. And makes my lips tingle!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Does number 2 mean that I did the wrong thing stopping drinking beer and starting to drink wine instead? I thought I was saving myself lots of calories...0
