My girlfriend is Spanish. When in Spain, I find everyone is slim!

We all know that the mediteranean diet is the key, and that olive oil is central to that.

So, I no longer buy any spreads.

Instead, I use a little bit of extra virgin olive oil on virtually everything...

It is low in saturates and high in polyunsaturates.

What suprised me at first, is that the Spanish DRENCH their food in this "fat". I asked about this, but it is "good fat", and will not cause weight gain as you would expect.

I asked why it was not available in spreading form... well when it turns to solid, it isn't the same apparently.

So chuck yer spread and use Olive oil instead!

    Hi all,

Well where on earth do I start! Not been around the last couple of weekends as I had my boyfriend over again from The Netherlands during the half term break and we kept quite busy. Managed to completely tidy out my bedroom and shock horror we managed to clear out clothes from my wardrobe which hadn't seen the light of day for years! I felt loads better for doing that as it felt as if the 'spring clean' of the wardobe and bedroom tidied out some cobwebs in my head as well!

Not such great news on the diet front... I now have 3 pounds to lose before I am back to 3 stone lost. I was eating all my syns each day while boyfriend was over so we could enjoy a bowl of Maltesers ice cream or a tasty sticky pudding for afters and I think my body was used to me not really eating any/many of my daily syns allowance and used it as an excuse to put on a couple of pounds. However, I will say that I have no regrets for the week as we had fun, tasty food and I may have gotten some bad ideas back out of my system again :)

I'm back on track and ready for another push to get through the 3 stone barrier ;D Like Happychick, this may be one of my psychological barriers that I am afraid that something will happen when I manage to break through it - well we'll seen when I get there! It will crumble and fall and if I want to relax' at Christmas and continue downwards again after the festive couple of days then so be it - I am not going to ever beat myself up about being a failure again as that is really negative thinking.

Well, good luck everyone and lets have some more success stories for next weekend *hus to all*

    please help me!
Does anyone know how many weight watchers points are in a macdonalds premium salad (caesar with no dressing or croutons) ?
    And a grilled chicken flatbread??

I have tried looking on the website but it loads sooo slowly and I can't find anything anyway, but I really want to have a treat after work with my fiance!

Please help me, otherwise I'll have to have more homemade rabbit food! :o:'(

  • OMG, with only 13 days left for my hols to Australia I decided to try on my holiday clothes, OMG they are miles to big for me. My trousers can go on without opening the zip or buttons, my tops are hanging on me. Mind you after loosing 2 1/2 stone in one one week with meningitis, I thought that I might put back on some weight, but after weighing myself this morning I've managed to loose another 2 lbs, I'm delighted with myself  :o   ;D   ;D   ;D

I tried to answer this and ended up cursing the mouse because it wasn't mousing right, nearly fell over the bannisters and down the stairs while I plugged in my son's abomination of a mouse to see if that was working, and it might have been (at least as well as it ever did) except I lost the bit which holds the tracker ball in and that didn't help any. >:( Anyway, hubby is trying to fix it now so I've borrowed my son's computer on which he has a nice new mouse even though he always denied there was anything wrong with the old one.

To cut an irrelevant post short, I couldn't find exactly the salad you described so was going to post details of the two caesar chicken salads they do. If you've already got the calories, someone earlier described how to calculate your WW points from that. And I'm sure doing that will burn off a few calories, if not a few braincells!

But what I really wanted to ask was couldn't your BF do better than MacDonalds if you want a treat after work? Surely, even on a budget, you deserve better than that? ;)
