My wife has been on slimming world for about 6 months and lost 3 stone!! Her top tips for this are:
1.Stick to the green days. A lot of meat eaters overlook quorn instead of meat but it's quite edible (my wife's veggie, I'm a meat eater but I'll happily have a quorn curry.) and low in fat. In fact it' s free food on the green diet.
2. jamie oliver chilli. Fantastic recipe. and if you use fry light and quorn it's no syns food!!!! I usually cook up a batch that will make 4 servings. eat one and freeze the rest.

This one seems a long thread and hadn't had much time to read it all. Anyway, i'm trying to shed off my last pounds these days and do have some helpful tips.
Starvation diets to not work. But they will work tremendously for the first week or so where I actually lost around 11 pounds of my weight.
Then i hit a stall. So i moved to low-carb hi-protein. Consists of just Chicken, Fish, Meat, Beef, Eggs & Cottage Cheese. Nothing else. Guaranteed to make you lose weight. Its something called as Ketosis and I'm sure someone has mentioned the Atkins diet in this thread. Just one more thing, do not smoke on this diet as I read smoke will get your body to release Insulin which will halt the fat burning for sometime. Also remember to take Multi-Vitamin+Iron supplements on this diet and make sure you do some weight training.
Muscles are metabolically active and will burn more fat even when you are sleeping.
Drinks are totally prohibitted during diets and im sure all know that.
Cheers to all fellow weight wacthers. I've lost around 20 pounds till now in the past 5 weeks. Another 7 pounds and I'm back to my perfect shape like I was at college.
Weight loss is an extremely serious thing to do and consult a doc if you are not sure of anything. Maybe my methods are wrong. Maybe they're right. But i need to lose weight due to 2 upcoming marraiges in our family. So its by hook or crook for me.

Went to Slimming world yesterday and stayed the same. I am not doing very well mind you I am under stress. Went for my hair cut and coloured, same cut and colour and low and behold the next day it was grey instead of blonde then it went bluey grey .They tried to rectify it and it went ginger and after 5 trips to the hairdressers I finally got it somewhere near my usual colour. I only have 4 weeks to my daughhters wedding so it has got to be right. Then my future son in laws ex is now refusing to let their little girls aged 5 and 3 be bridesmaids so now we are down to one bridesmaid with 2 spare made to measure bridesmaid dresses, shoes headbands and shoes. ARGHHHH. I am trying to remain calm but how can their mother take out her spite out on her daughters. I am thinking of taking up the demon drink or maybe not. Well thats my moan for the week. I have just worked out my menus for the week so maybe that will help. Why can't I be one of those people who lose weight when they are anxious. Love to all the friends on the wanna lose weight site.0

ok ok, I am trying to remain calm here now :-/
Got on the scales last night, as forgot on sunday ::) and weighed in at 10st 8 3/4 lbs. I was flabergastedIt's only a small loss ... ummmm 3/4 lbs, but it has shocked me..... and now .... now I am too chicken to get on the scales incase I have gone up again
I am freaking out, and I am not completely sure why??? I am only 1 3/4 lbs away from my target - set for before I go on holiday. Real target is 9st - but that is in the long term. Why am I freaking out - am also overly excited too :-/ ???
Am also still !!!!!! that me fav trousers keep falling down >:(I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!I thunk I've made you think for a minute!:j :rotfl: :j0 -

Have you tried washing & tumble drying your trousers to make them shrink :-/
I still weigh the same, I'm still not getting out much as I'm still not 100% after having viral meningitis, I'm hoping to start swimming again in a couple of week. Where & when are you going on your hols? my hols to Australia are only 5 weeks away, cant wait 8) ;D 8) ;DShaz xx

Still haven't gone near the scales :-/ Tried the tumble drier .... shrunk everything but my fav trousers ::)
Off to Venice Nov 20th .... she says lol lol fingers crossed ... everything except the passports are sorted and am seriously stressing about it now ..... everything seems to be going wrong with them. Now gonna have to fork out £80 for the GP to countersign the little buggers >:(

Ally, why dont you apply for the passports on-line.You give all your details & the passport form comes with in about 4 days all filled in, all you need to do is sign it & send it off. 8) 8) 8)Shaz xx
