  • Did anyone watch diet doctors last night? Its a common sense approach. The woman who was being made over last night only went to the loo once in 2 weeks. Me and the DH thought that would be enough to send us to the doctors.

She went and had a colonic irrigation done. Apparently you can hold up to 20 ibs of waste in your large intestine - that is more than i want to lose altogether - unfortunately, though, i think that woul be a top figure for the larger person with lots of weight to lose - i can still daydream about a miracle cure...

Has anyone had it done? And what did you think?

Hooooraaah, 4lb for me - only 5st 13lb to go!! Not as happy as I'd like to be cos I've just remembered I'm going to be 44 next week so not only am I short (5ft 1") very overweight but I'm also very middle aged!!! And, just to rub my nose in it I spend all day surrounded by young slim girly students who have their whole lives ahead of them. Sorry, just aware that 50's not so far away. Hope everyone else does well in weigh in - good luck!!

OK here are three things to make you feel better...

1 You lost 4lb ( I lost a half and I have been really good!)

2 You are an inch taller than me

3 You are 6 months younger than me.

Well done on the weight loss and just remember life gets better as you get older, can't do anything about the height though!

Yeah I know - just having a winge. I think the fact my daughters just left college, my son's off to Uni this year and my eldest left home 8 years ago is making me feel old. On the plus side my youngest is still at home (he's only 10) and I'm half way through my own degree so a new life beckons. I've had some choccy tonight watched The Two Towers again with the kids, and am back on the wagon in the morning.

I know what you mean about the children growing up, my youngest was 18 last May, they are both away at uni now and sometime around July/August I realised I was well and truly grown up, even though I feel 17 in my head!

Not a good start. Lost 3oz and 0.2% body fat. Period is due though, so have had terrible munchies the last couple of nights. It doesn't help when my OH is sitting there with a tin of minature heros and keeps saying "just have one"

Saw the physio the other day and he said I am allowed to do some gentle exercise now, as long as I don't go daft and stop instantly if I feel my back/neck hurting (was in a car accident couple of months ago). Not working Monday afternoon, so going to try either swimming or a gentle exercise video depending on how I feel.
Here I go again on my own....
