 Can I join too?
I tried to loose weight last year and actually lost a stone over the summer, then I moved house and got so busy with moving and starting a new job that I just "forgot" to keep up the good work
I've got about 5 stone left to loose! So I'd best get working on it. I take some comfort in the fact that I managed to llose some weight last year and not put it back on, it would be quite upsetting if I had to loose that extra stone all over again.
Have finished all the yummy christmas food so am starting today and fingers crossed I'llhave some good results to post next friday. Good luck everyone, hopefully we'll stick to it together.0 -

She managed to put me off loads of food but she didn't give me a clue what I am allowed to eat.............I suppose that's cos she wants me to buy her book - one way of losing pounds!
I'll never eat a hotdog again :spam:
Hi!!
Can you remind me of the 12 things mentioned please. (I can remember some...white bread, saturated fats, fizzy drinks, sugar, smoking, chocolate)
Thanks in advance

I gave up white bread ages ago, when we got a bread maker - my best friend thinks it's really funny, as I used to hate the 'yukky brown stuff' she always bought, and she hated my 'soggy white' bread! Just goes to show that we really can change our likes and dislikes, I really don't like white bread now, in fact I hardly eat bread.
Friday is weigh in day then, we'll all have to post our losses etc. I'll try to keep a tally of total weight lost on this thread. If we stick to a Friday, it should be quite easy to total. Should make us feel better - share in each others success!
Porridge this morning, salad and fruit for lunch.0 -
I can't wait till Friday I have to tell you NOW !!!!! :j
I lost one and a half pounds this week, OK I put half on last week but I am one pound lighter than I was the week before Christmas...
I really need to get motivated now, I am going away on holiday on 24th Feb and I really want to be 2 stone lighter than when I started SW at the end of October ( I have done 11 lbs so far) If I can do 3lb this next week I have lost my first stone then 2lb per week which is acheivable if I do it properly and count the syns in my red wine LOL.
I went to stock up on good food, fish, muller light yogs (new flavours mmmmm) bananas, wholewheat pasta, gonna try some green days for a change...wish me luck and keep me away from the tin of celebrations;)0 -
Hi guys :hello:
I'm a wee (well not that wee, hence i'm on this board!) Newbie.
Would you guys mind if i joined in? I think a weekly weigh in would be great, and help save money too - joined SW last year, so have all the books, etc, but can't afford to go to classes (spent most of my time over Xmas on the debt free boards trying to pick up info to sort my mountain of debt  ).

:jWhat's he building in there???
Debt at highest £30,450 (Dec 05)
Debt at lowest £9, 113 (Jul 07)
How much did we over spend whilst on maternity leave :mad:0 -
Hi Lydia good to have you on board, I think there's only us 2 around on this thread but I am sure the others will be glad to welcome you tomorrow.
I have lost weight before with WW but it's crept back over the last few years and I decided to tackle it at the end of October when a new SW class opened near me.
I think it's great, you can eat so much without feeling guilty and even when I am a bit naughty I still lose weight most weeks.
Good luck.0 -
Hi Lydia,
Welcome and good luck both with losing weight and losing the debt too :rudolf:

That's good going - well done!
I'm finding it hard to get into the right frame of mind too, especially with all the Christmas goodies still around. I probably won't get back onto the SW plan until the next shop so will report back next Friday using this weeks weigh in as my stareting point.
Good luck everyone - we can do it!

Hello!!!
I joined this thread in the summer but went on holiday, slipped into the wicked ways of stuffing my face and then kept putting off getting back on track!
So today (as part of my NY's resolution) I am off to Weight Watchers, I know I'm gonna be horrified by how much I weigh... Hope its okay to join you guys in losing weight!! I will let you know what WW's says tonight..... eeeeek!

Hi!! Can I play too???????? I've been putting on weight for a long while (since leaving a very nasty relationship) but now's the time to sort it. I'm at Uni in my second year as a very mature student and all that sitting around reading is not helping. I have over 6 stone to lose so going to be a year long haul!! I've got the books for SW and have bought a pedometer so aiming for the 10000 steps eventually. I can't afford the classes though so joining in here would be a great help. I'm starting tomorrow so will post my first weight loss next Friday (optimistic?) Good Luck to you all!!~A mind is a terrible thing to waste on housework~0
