I do love a good debate and i hope we're all enjoying ourselves :rotfl:Always looking for a bargain and to help0

Pete, for god’s sake shut up about this.
You got exactly what you paid for.
You bought 2 CDs for 99p plus £1.90 p&p each and that is exactly what you got. You didn’t ask for a postage discount so you didn’t get one. In similar situations I always ask up front and I usually get a discount. If a seller refuses a p&p discount I modify my bidding accordingly.
I bet a pound to a penny that if the seller had sent them in two separate envelopes you would have complained that one arrived a day later than the other.
The start of my email to the seller actually i said thank you for the quick delivery so thats blown your career as a mind reader out of the water :rotfl:Always looking for a bargain and to help0 -
Have to admit I've kinda given up on it

I'm off to bed and will hopefully forget all about this thread tomorrow
Actually I might go read the "well worn shoes" thread again to remind me there are people more insane out there than me

I've got to admit that i've given up too because this board seems to be mostly full of sellers who thinks its ok not giving what they've been paid for even if they think my arguement is petty.
I chose to pay 2 P&P's and that how i expect the goods to come.
Remember this is a MONEY SAVING FORUM so at the very least get what you pay for and nothing less.Always looking for a bargain and to help0 -
Again its not about the amount but about the service that is paid for being different to the services thats being given.
The service you paid for was the postage and packaging to get the items to you. Is this not what you got? The ins and outs of how much it actually cost is the sellers business.0 -

Uhm... I've vaguely been following this.
You did get what you paid for - your goods, on time. It matter not a jot whether you got them separately - in fact it would have cost you more in bin bags in the long term if you had.
I'm afraid yes, your argument is petty. You didn't ask for a postage discount, although you could have had it if you wanted. You ordered separately for a daft reason... as you didn't make an issue of the postage discount or lack thereof, you're not in a position to dictate how many envelopes the seller should have used.
You haven't lost any money. You haven't been impacted by any delays financially. Yes, this is a money saving site... so why are you posting this here?
My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

I think Pete just wanted to demonstrate the money saving potential for sellers if they send items together.

I paid £1.90 each in 2 separate auctions so i think i am able to dictate regarding the envelopes and postage!
I chose to pay twice so why should i get less than what i paid for?
Has nobody any principles left no matter how small/petty the cost is?Always looking for a bargain and to help0 -

I think im fighting a losing battle here but i'll win the war :rotfl:Always looking for a bargain and to help0 -
Pete, you've been looking at your own avatar too many times....please chill.
Most sellers are just amateurs selling bits and pieces, they are not retailers and you can't 'expect the same treatment as other retailers', it's just asking too much.
I'm a seller primarily but I buy from time to time too and I've read too many 'bad seller/ bad goods/scam seller' threads on here to worry too much about small niggles, I'm just grateful that things go OK 99% of the time. Let it go and give the seller a break.0
