Dot has had her supply of dinners replenished so I now have about 20 loads to run through the DW!

I think it is lovely so sharing.. This is what DD1 wrote on OHs FB wall today..

You tell me when I'm being an idiot and you always tried to explain my maths
homework to me... even though you're a grump at times, I do love you. You may
not be my dad but I wanted to say happy fathers day anyway because you've been
there for me like one everytime I needed you♥

Dot in bed so I can't do up there so I am going to do some kitchen degrotting.. I might even get round to bathing the stinky rabbit!

That's lovely Piggers - I think there are many people who are lucky in that they have someone to do the 'being' a dad even if they're not the daddy IYSWIM

On Father's day I too would like to say thank you for those men who step up to the mark and put the graft in;)

OH was quite flattered that DS1 put him down as a 'grandparent' so he can visit Fabian.. he doesn't want to go but he was a bit pleased really... though a little horrified at having grandparent status at 30 lol

He doesn't believe me that they like him!

Lovely, genuine words from your DD, pigpen. Says a lot about her and your OH - and all nice!

Some reports written (wouldn't call it a substantial amount - interrupted by making lunch for me and the DSs) so DS2 and I are off out for a break. Most other things can wait, since I've already got clothes sorted for tomorrow. Just tea to do and more reports.

Well I have groomed and walked the dogs again, vacuumed living room. Eaten dinner and washed up, decluttered a glass of alcohol or two, now ready to sleep. Well good for nothing else! Have a great evening everyone, will catch up with you in the next thread in the week.

I've managed to keep up with the minimum after a tough week. Glad the flylets can see an end to their exams. School was the worst time for me so can remember feeling desperate for it to be over:(

Thanks for the lists and motivation hoping to be up to doing a little more each day this week- got a few off list things I'd like to sort too. So here's hoping:) x

Have enjoyed reading peoples father's day posts. I feel quite guilty and try to hide buying my card as it is only just over a year since DH's dad passed away. Also, DH hasn't seen his children for 8 years (not his choice) and I hate the fact he will be reminded of that, I know he misses them terribly. My parents have been here for the weekend ad it was only when I glanced and saw the card for my dad that I remembered what day it was, he forgot too which made me feel a bit better.

My parents left a few hours ago and we are back to normal again now and are back on top of our washing ready for the new week.

Bed frame moved out of Squeaks room so tomorrow I need to take down the curtain wire and wash voiles slide the bedside unit over and the CoD's moved up a bit hopefully that will clear enough room for them to work in there.

My room, I 'should' be able to shift most stuff easily enough in a few minutes but I need to get the curtain pole down and the crystal mobile.

Kitchen needs a jolly good clean and I need to make a nail appt for 2 fixes after I completely forgot about the Friday appt... oops.. good job she knows me!
