kaz so sorry to hear your sad news, such a shock to you all.
id say being there for them the way you are is most important letting them talk if they want. the meals are a brill idea how about lawn mowing if needed.
have they any idea about funeral arrangements or do they need any help being pointed inthe right direction with practical help in that area. reminding them about the need to register the death so a certificate for burial etc can be arranged ( its cheaper to get more certs at the time of death) you get one and can buy others but need them for lots of different things. i got 4 paid for ones when i registered fils death and the private pension, banks premimum bonds etc all wanted to see them. (they are more expensive if you realise after registering that you need more and have to apply for them)
sorry thats all i can think of at the moment but my thoughts are most definately with you.

(((hugs))), kaz. What an awful shock for you and the family. I don't have any suggestions - just know how I'd feel. We've been in the same house for 21 years, with the same neighbours.

    Monday - kitchen
    sweep and mop the floor
    Clean the oven

    Tuesday - Living room/Dining Room/Family Room
    Hoover and/or mop the floor
    Tidy bookcases/shelves
    Dust any flat surfaces

Wednesday - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Downstairs Loo and children's rooms
    Hoover these areas
    Cobweb extermination
Bin pens which no longer work and sharpen pencils

    Thursday - Master bedrooms
Hang up all the clothes (or as many as you can in 15 :p)
    Clear and dust one surface
    Clean the window
    Dust pictures and lightshades
    Sort accessories and be ruthless

Friday - Bathroom and weekend round up
    Clean the sink and toilet
    Wash the towels
    Hoover high traffic areas
    Clean bath
    Wash the bathroom floor
    Change any beds in need
    Sort out a drawer somewhere

Restock bathroom toiletries, decant and bin empty bottles etc

Hmmm I have slowed down again as the week goes on  In my defence I have been at work all day today :o I plan on sleeping in as long as I can get away with tomorrow - no alarm will be set :p

Big hugs to all in need

1.5 wheelie bins I aim to fill this weekend.. I've filled 1/2 a bin in 2 weeks! Recycle bins are fit to pop!

Tomorrow I need to wrap Fathers Day presents for OH.. The girls made a card for OH from Squeak and got her to draw on the front.. so very cute!

Dot is still up in her jumperoo.. in a vague attempt to wear the beast out!

Baby washing going in shortly.. there is a stack for Fabian and the girls stuff.. it will be twinkly.. I can then drop it round at DS1's this weekend. I need to go see Fabian this weekend too, I've not been able to go all week with school runs and bedtimes so I hope to get there Sunday I think.

I am incredibly tired today and I need to empty the bedroom of detritus before Tuesday and get the bathroom and loo cleaned!
