Hmm yes lovely kind children, DS has pushed DD, she then bit his leg, little madam, and I've taken him to have his arms spiked by the nurse. He is not a happy boy. Thankfully she is asleep in her buggy she has been horrid today :rotfl:

Bleurgh I think I've got rice weevils. Are they the little tiny things you can barely see? I have a cupboard where I store "pretty" things on display two of which are bags of paella rice my dad brough me back, his house is in the main rice growing region. Anyway, I digress. I keep lolly sticks to make dairy free ones for my youngest. And they were all over them...

    YUK!

So I've binned almost evy thing out of the cupboard (needed a fling anyway) and bleached the inside of the cupboard.

Is that enough? Will that be rid of them? All I have kept is a bottle of olive oil which I can antibacterial the outside of, and a jar of honey ditto. These a pretty ones we were given in Cyprus at our wedding, so would like to keep if poss.

    Eurgh, I'm all itchy now...

ETA I've read the old thread about weevils :-( guess what I'm doing tonight...

Will it be in all my cupboards? Or just the food ones? I will freeze flour etc as it come is now and buy bigger storage jars...

I'd google 'rice weevils', especially on google images, and see if it matches what you've seen.

Spotted 3 tiny black critters on the side of the bath this week, barely alive. No idea how they got there and I was panicking like mad. I had to use a magnifying glass to measure them (no more than 2mm incl legs) and to count their legs (either 8 or 6 plus 2 antennae/feelers). I still don't know what they were, but I've been able to eliminate the main household pests. Not seen any more since so I hope that it was just a one-off. Kept one on a piece of sticky tape in case I get to ask someone.
