Now we get the real story rather than privateeye13's corporate propaganda.:T
Good on you Useitorloseit for having the morals to give up on working for these bottom feeders.
What was really bad from the first question to the last, you knew that once they answered yes to a question they were going to get a sales call, some I did not have the heart to ask any more , I would have been dismissed anyway if I did not stop when I did ,some or most of the people called are in their 70's,80's,90's , trying to get them to say yes they would be interested in getting a call from dodgy chair companies or solar energy companies was not for me0 -

I have a law degree doesnt mean i know every single freaking term of the top of my head. The so called scum bags you talk about got your details because your a neglectful fool.
You really are a wonderful advert for people who might want to consider working for foxy aren't you. This thread has done wonders for showing the attitude of people that work for them.
BTW, the word you are looking for is YOU'RE not YOUR - i would have thought that a highly educated person like you would have known that;).0 -
I quite like Tom Mabe's method of dealing with bottom feeding phone pests

Even if I did want to ring up, it would be rather difficult given that in the numerous times I have asked to be removed no one has mentioned a helpline. I expect it is premium rate isn't it. [/QUOTE]
To be fair, if the "correct" number to call is 01923 288995 as suggested, that is a normal geographic number.
Googling the number makes for interesting reading.0 -
As ive said before i will post what i think on here and i think i have posted some useful information.
If you don't like it then ignore it simples really. I made a mistake of being drawn into your debate which i shouldn't have. I really dont care what you all think of this company.
As for the so called ex employee - how strange of you to state you asked for certain people when calling. Foxy communications T&C's specifically say you cannot do this. As it is a household survey no name can be asked for at the start of the call or any other point for that matter.
Maybe your just an ex employee that was banned from the dialler for failing to comply with T&C's?
PS if i want English lessons i will go and get them, it amuses me when people are so uptight they feel they can correct people.Doing the investigation work - you don't have time to do.0 -

I will be honest, at one point i thought maybe you all had a point, but yet no one has convinced me?
How can you claim this company is a scam / con with no evidence of this.
So they call you and have incorrect details - ok maybe have you thought your number was reallocated at some point from someone else, if you call BT they will clarify this happens on a regular basis. So the details that are held may relate to someone else. Theoretically this doesn't matter a market research call can be completed by anyone over the age of 18.
My point still stands, if this is a so called scam / con and its 'so' obvious then why has nothing been done by the authorities yet? Why is there not mention of law suits against the company all over google? Why is the company still going? Why are numerous calls still being made to consumers?
Can anyone prove to me how this is a scam - if so i will happily bow my head and accept this... until that point i will continue to work for them, continue to speak to the consumers i do on a daily basis and have nice conversations with them. And continue you to laugh at the people that give me abuse because it really is no skin of my back.Doing the investigation work - you don't have time to do.0 -
Given your claim to hold a law degree, your use of the term "law suits" is interesting. Especially as two seperate words rather than one. Did you read in the UK or US?

Oh and the tone of this post on another website sounds suspiciously familiar to me.
"I work for this company at the minute. It is a legit business, we conduct surveys and that is all, there genuinely is no catch. If your answers during the survey flag up that one of the brands we partner with might be able to help you to save money your details will then be passed on, but only with your permission which we are required to ask permission for before you begin the survey.
I understand cold calling is a nuisance but we are only trying to earn a living and it isn't nice when people answer the phone and give us abuse. Politely asking to be removed from the dialling list will suffice and your details are honestly wiped from the system if you politely request us do so, and the helpline number has changed recently so maybe the person you spoke to accidentally gave you the old number.
And TPS registered or not, if you don't watch what you're doing when buying online and filling out forms in banks, shops and anywhere else, your details will automatically get passed on to us no matter what if you don't tick the opt out box for having your details shared. A bit of care on your part would stop these kinds of calls.
People don't ring you up simply to annoy you, you know? There is a purpose to these calls."0 -

I Can safely say this comment isnt from me, but im glad to see someone else is arguing the same points. What website is that from?Doing the investigation work - you don't have time to do.0 -
So you're basically admitting that your company works with 5 year old data then (in fact having checked with my employer when they set up the line it is nearer 6 years).
Obviously another one of foxy's ways of saving money in addition to stiffing the people who work for them.
It actually does matter. The first time that one of your representatives called (and the numerous subsequent times) they were told that the information they held was incorrect and that I was not interested in completing their survey and wanted to be removed from the database. A legitimate company would have respected my wishes and removed the out of date/fake details that they held relating to my number.
Firstly - how can you prove that foxy comms is stiffing people that work for them out of money - kind of a big accusation to make dont you think - especially when you fail to provide any proof of this?
Secondly - i didn't state that the data is 5 years old, i stated sometimes its incorrect. You've missed my point though that we dont actually read out any of the consumers info we ask them to give it us. How do you know that foxy comms isnt actually a legit company, but unfortunately maybe given false contact details from other sources such as n power etc. Maybe foxy is legit but the info they get isnt thats not their fault now is it.
Thirdly -If an agent isn't following procedure and deleting your details. If its not reported to foxy comms then they can't do anything about it. An agent fails to do their job properly then that doesnt make foxy comms a scam it means the agent isnt compliant.
I'm pretty sure many people would have had incidents like this or similar to it from other companies, i know orange give out false information left right and centre, 3 network and other providers call people asking if they want to switch etc this is classed as cold calling in everyones opinion on here. I dont see people claiming there a scam company?Doing the investigation work - you don't have time to do.0
