Foxy Communications (Again)

Hello!
I've recently been employed by a company called Foxy Communications, which was previously addressed on these forums in 2010 (t=2337255).
I found this thread when doing a Google search of the company's name, and from what I gathered, they're pretty questionable. The thread became filled with a LOT of newly-registered posters who were suspiciously "bigging up" the company, though there were a couple of experienced forum members who also seemed pretty confident about them. There was one person in the thread with a few posts who had just started work with them, but they never returned with a definite answer.
Since this was 2010, and they're still up and running in 2012, then I'm somewhat more confident about them having not been shut down and all. I went into their Skype-like "web seminar" and they were very willing to answer all my questions. I noticed back in 2010, there was some concern about them not paying you until you'd done 24 hour's work - that doesn't seem to be the case nowadays, since there is now a "trial period" of only 15 hours which you get paid for considering you don't bottle it within that time.
However, reading through the 2010 thread, I still have some concerns about this company, especially since it's a "self-employed" role which requires sorting out your own tax and NI; and of course due to what was said in that old thread. I've tried doing more research on the company, but that 2010 thread is really the only source of opinion that comes up, even being cited in other places.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any more information about this company? Has anybody worked for them? I have another "online seminar" in the week for training, and I'm expected to begin working the proceeding day (starting with the aforementioned 15-hour "trial period".
Any help would be appreciated, but please note that due to the suspicious "new posters" that started cropping up in the 2010 thread seemingly defending the company, I won't be paying attention to anybody that doesn't seem to be a seasoned poster.
Thanks!

I have never heard of this company, but there is enough in your opening thread to make me suspect this is not a proper job.0

I see them advertising on directgov loads of self employed jobs, don't really know what they do but I treat these kinds of jobs with suspicion about the same as doorstep lending companies. Wouldn't touch with a barge pole to be honest.0

Hello, thanks for that!
But I've also found other online forums in which people claimed to have been paid regularly and on-time. The only complaint I've seen from people who seem to have worked for the company is that the job's a bore (cold-calling from home).0 -
Upon further research, I've decided not to pursue to job further.
It's suspicious that in an economy where there are few jobs, they are constantly (and I mean constantly) recruiting. Apparently what they do is set you on the trial period, sack you after the 15 hours for some made-up reason (you're technically self-employed, so you can't do anything about it), and then move onto the next sucker.
That's my take on it, anyway. I could be wrong, and I could be turning down an excellent job opportunity. But I'm going to go with my gut instinct.
Hope this helps anyone else who is curious about this company. And thanks for all your help, too.0 -
I worked for FoxyCONS for a number of months and I can confirm that they are extremely below board.
They constantly pay later than they promise in the contract and the payment is usually WRONG. I have friends who also work for them and they have the same problems every month so it isn't just me.
They also scam you out of your bonus by unfairly putting you in the lower bonus bracket thinking that we won't realise!
I suggest you avoid this company like the plague! They are constantly hiring because they need to hit 'targets' and then when things go wrong they start firing!
This company needs investigating URGENTLY!

I am surprised Foxy was still going.
Aren't they the people who used fake address etc?0 -
And the perfect place to recruit the desperate suckers is the Jobcentre & Jobcentre website.0

Someone joining just to post about this organisation. Seems to know an awful lot about how they operate even though they are in the trial period (which is 15 hours in total apparently) and unpaid - though the OP thought it was now a paid trial. Seems room for confusion in their description.
Privateeye13 sets out as wanting to give truthful report on how things go but then is pretty disparaging of those who have reported negatively in the past.
All those invitations to send a PM: I would avoid doing that with someone who registered just for this purpose.
I'm reporting it as spam and not quoting the post - if it disappears then others will have agreed. If it remains then perhaps I'm being unfair.0 -
If you are so desperate to show the reality of working for them why only ask for PM and be so defensive when someone questions you?
Sounds like you only want to put a particular side of the story in the public domain. That, as they say is why I am out.0 -

I havnt stated i will only speak via pm ive simply said if someone wants to pm me they can ;-)
I have even stated i had my own doubts about this company, for me to admit that openly shows im not being one sided at all.
Like i said if something bad happens i will happily tell u guys. Im just a normal person trying to earn a living, if i get ripped of in anyway shape or form im likely to tell people about it arnt i. If nothing else to vent steam.Doing the investigation work - you don't have time to do.0
