Not quite, she mentioned that she was getting a bit annoyed, thats all.
Yes, fair enough, but my opinion is, and always will be that anonymous notes are just pathetic and are not very likely to get you the result that you are after.
Thank you for taking the time to comment on my every point. I'll just add my comment on your first response to me which was

if some one posted a note through my door accusing me of being inconsiderate i would be pretty peeved that they didn't even have the guts to reveal their identity and it certainly wouldn't encourage me to adhere to their request!

One No is quite enough!0 -
Woody - If I were speaking to you in "real life" "no, no, no, no,no!" is the exact wording that I would use to try and get across that an anonymous note is a bad idea and would only be likely to aggrovate (sp?) the situation.
Please understand, that although I don't agree with your ideas, I'm not meaning to be rude, only debate.0 -

Could you park outside their house, blocking their driveway?
I have thought about that. I was going to do that and just knock on explaining why i have parked there.I'm sure they would get the hint.Mummy to Isabella - March 2008 and Daisie - September 2012:A - November 2011 (mc)0 -
Why would you do something as silly and spiteful as block their driveway? Your car will be towed and impounded and you'll have to shell out a fortune to get it back.0

When I say blocking there drive, as I said I would knock on and explain I've park there as there is no other room and im struggling up and down the road. And say if they need me to move they they just need to ask. Not in a spiteful wayMummy to Isabella - March 2008 and Daisie - September 2012:A - November 2011 (mc)0

You can knock and explain all you like but if your neighbour wants out and doesn't want to confront the neighbour who knocked his door, blamed him for there being cars in the street then took off leaving her car across his drive then he would just need to ring the police and you'd be walking a lot further than a couple of streets over to get your car back.
You do realise that not all pregnant people drive? Walking is a natural function, it's actually good for you! If you can't cope with a few bags of shopping then buy a trolley!0 -
Honestly, I think it's better just to live and let live. You may well do something that annoys one or more of your neighbours, and you just don't know it.
We have two dogs. I work from home a lot, but they still like to bark at deliveries and certain dogs in the street (and whine at other dogs!). I thank them (the dogs) for letting me know of the problem, and quieten them down. We live in a semi, and I was always quite worried about annoying my neighbour with their barking. He has his TV, music, and phone ringer very, very loud (though is not otherwise apparently hard of hearing). I always thought it was a case of live and let live. I didn't complain about his noise as he had to put up with my dogs. Anyway, he thumped on the wall one time my dogs barked. Not very mature, so I went over to talk to him - he was having a bad day, hadn't realised how much noise he made, and so peace resumed. Doing something like thumping on the wall at his music or TV would be like blocking their drive. It can only make things worse not better. Be the bigger person, as you have to live with the consequences if it doesn't work out well.0 -
It never ceases to amaze me that people buy a house in a street or cul-de-sac where clearly the parking is an issue then moan about it. Surely the very first thing you saw when you went to view the house was this!
I sometimes see streets where people have put two or three cones outside there house to 'reserve' their spot. Who the hell do they think they are? It`s a public street0 -
This is all just part & parcel of living in a property with no off-street parking (although OS parking comes with its own issues!).
As with most things in life, you can't control the way others behave - you can only control how you react. So please, just stop getting annoyed about this because it really isn't going to achieve anything.
And, no. Don't raise this with your neighbour. It's actually nothing to do with them. They have no power to "give permission" for friends or anyone else to park on a public road - and, of course, no power to stop them from doing so.
You will drive yourself potty if you allow this to upset/annoy you. Try to find something positive to think about when walking to and from your car, if it's not parked right outside the house. Try singingto yourself, of course, not out loud ;-)
Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0
