Bath/Avon force have been absolutely superb when I have needed to call on their services. Very responsive, and very keen on the follow-ups too.

Also had very positive experiences with Surrey and The Met. Last time I lived in Brum, good but not following up so much, but that's decades ago in some shoddy bits of town.

I had a hectic couple of weeks with a German woman sergeant in the Bundespolizei when I was a Squaddie stationed in Germany.

Oh you mean in the sense of bad.

I am more interested in your experiences as a "perpetrator" OP.

What did you get nicked for?

Losers = bullied as a kid!!!!!! What a lovely comment

I dont know what you mean. Is my comment really that offensive??

Its a power thing, I thought everyone knew that? It gives some blokes some make shift power, that is why many of them go too far and nick people at the drop of a hat just because they can.

Its their fault entirely that everyone hates them.

Larry's kindergarten class was on a field trip to their local police station where they saw pictures tacked to a bulletin board of the 10 most wanted criminals. One of the youngsters pointed to a picture and asked if it really was the photo of a wanted person. 'Yes,' said the policeman. 'The detectives want very badly to capture him.' Larry asked, "Why didn't you keep him when you took his picture?"

My car was broken into a couple of years ago and I rang the local station rather than 999 within an hour a lovely policeman came round armed with leaflets and told me the window had been smashed with a spark plug and two known locals were most probably the perps as that was their MO. I actually said "Oh well Im glad they will be punished anyways", he replied "Oh no we cant prove it was them they will have sold your stuff for drugs hours ago"

I understand they have bigger fish to fry but did leave me a little disheartened. However a few years back I was stopped in the police station by a sniffer dog and asked if I could pop onto the police bus to be searched for drugs (actually hilarious, Im the most anti-drug taking woman this side of yorkshire), obviously I complied and when they obviously found nothing, the lady police officer was so apologetic and nice.

In any walk of life you get nice and no so nice people, though in both cases I thought they were lovely.

I was pulled over once by a police 'road block' as I had a headlight bulb out.

First officer pulled me out the car to show me, then started reading me the riot act on how dangerous it was. I held my hands out and told him to 'cuff me now then'.

Then I had to give my name and address to another three different officers. All for a bloody headlight bulb.
