    Morning (just)

Nice sunny morning, should make me feel bright and happy, but I am not, all this pressure with SS is doing me no good at all. OH was furious when he got in yesterday and I told him about the phone call. He rang the agent back, but of course, she was not there and although he asked for her to ring back am I supprised she didn't???? NO!!!!!

I have been and done my veg shopping this morning, OH is cleaning the car, its rather muddy......after lunch my tame computer chappie will be here with the wiped desk top tower and my new laptop.....so I can install the DT at DD's tomorrow after supper and I will be £250 better off in the moving fund. So thats the carpet paid for and a bit towards to lap top too. Just the removers...............

My fibromyalgia is really giving me gip just now, I can hardly walk at times, and its also starting to affect my hands too, very painful finger joints, I keep doing the exercises the physio gave me some years ago......but it is still painfull.

Cold chicken for supper tonight, still have 2 servings of the crumble I made the other day left.....so that will finish it off.........got some celery reduced today so celery and tomato salad with our chicken.........

Nothing much else to report......OH is not saying much but I know he is very hurt by what is going on, we know that SS's partner is at the back of all this. He does not have the guts to stand up to her....quite framkly she is nuts!!!! and as SS was adopted we have no idea of his background, have our suspicions because if his behaviour and various other things that have come to light during the last few years.........he is vertically challenged and quite a bully always threateneing to 'do people' and 'taking them to court' which speaks for itself as far as I am concerned.

I have enough problems coping with OH and his health without having to cope with the results of his sons bully boy tactics.......

Right thats enough moaning...........I need to go and have a scream in the garden and get rid of the pent up aggression I am feeling, boy I will be SO GLAD to get out of this house.

Off to get some lunch, tummy is telling me it thinks its time to eat.....have to tackle packing up the DT this afternoon to take it down to DD's tomorrow.

Nice day, but no washing to put out.........pity............
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

PP - Don't feel useless, you do much here to help everyone, you make a big difference here x
Rage in Eden - Thanks for the tip re the magazine, v useful.

Another bright day here weatherwise, miserable day in the office. I feel like a battery hen. 12.5 working days left and counting! Am interviewing someone for a job that I need to fill before I leave myself, it's an admin job and I feel such empathy as the girl is only v young and I remember being there myself and being so nervous before first interview.

    Hugs x
  • Afternoon all :j

What a lovely sunny day it is here in Oxfordshire :D (((((hugs))))) to everyone who needs them.

DD is going to a friends house after school today, and then to brownies - so I don't need to pick her up until 7.30pm - hopefully that'll mean my list of jobs will all get done with no interruption :D I need to make some chocolate cookies, do 2 more loads of ironing, another load of washing, make packed lunches and clean the bathroom. Wish me luck.
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Morning again!

:rotfl: I'm with you in that I prefer a good detective/murder book some of my favourites are Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson, Harlan Coben, Nicci French, I also like !!!!!! Francis but my all time fav at the moment is Martina Cole.>>>

Found out yesterday that September's Lit. course at Uni is going to be
'The Body of Evidence ' all about the rise in popularity of the Detective genre from mid 19th century onwards. I am really looking foward to that as I love a good detective novel.
I have read most of Martine Cole and enjoyed them ,but they have started to be a bit 'samey ' IYKWIM.James Patterson is great though, also Ruth Rendell, her '13 Steps Down' is a great book that keeps you guessing

Just finished my last book for this years Lit. of Sea course .it was really good, 'Star of the Sea' by Joseph O'Connor. Would recomend it to anyone who likes history especially, as it's about a boat and it's passengers escaping from the Irish potato famine of the 1850s

Thank Shez for the info. on the Olympia genealogy Fair
Just off to have some coffee, then pick my granddaughter up from school at 3.00

    Hello all

Another gorgeous, sunny day. It was quite busy at CAB, we are open only two days a week and could easily fill our appointments 7 days a week! I have an interview for an invigilators post tomorrow at local school ( otherwise I work weekends at a hostel for homeless). It is not for many hours, but hey, every penny counts:p .

Sending hugs and warm thoughts for all who need it. Later today I am going to read the slow cooker thread, need to know if it is as useful in a vegetarian household. Off to mow the lawn now, have a good day.

Tis me back again! I've just done an hours gardening in two 30 min stints which is about all my back will allow so I can now sit back feeling virtuous and squander a few mins surfing. LOL:D

Having exhausted !!!!!! Franices (who should have stopped 4 books before he did IMO), Ruth Rendal and many many others, my fave crime authors at the mo are: Sue Grafton, Ann Granger, Simon Brett, Veronic Stallingwood and Jane Adams (who lives locally in good ol Leicester) If only they could write as quickly as I can read. LOL

    Churchmouse - enjoy your rest

    Gardenmille - GWS

Off to read the local paper online (for free:p )

I've been shopping to get some ingredients for tea tonight. I'm going to make chickpea and spinach lasagne, and some chocolate cornflake cakes 'cause they're easy and scrummy.

Walked the dogs and took lunch with me. Can't believe how nice and sunny it is again, it's lovely.

I've been doing everything possible to avoid doing the housework today, but I suppose I had best crack on with it :o
