    Morning all

A frosty but sunny start to the day on the coast here, just been out to put the rubbish out and it's warmed up no end - just a shame the grass will be so wet or I could start hacking at more things.....my style of gardening is hack it/saw it/chop it/tnt it :D

DH went away yesterday - will be back tomorrow night but it's horrible without him, didn't sleep well and was wide awake at 5am.

Just about to do an online shop for Mr T's to be delivered tomorrow, DH arrives home just as his parents turn up for a long weekend stay (oh joy) so I'd best get some food in.

Will be cleaning all the laminate/hard floors today and hoovering the sofas off - it looks like smallest cat shed his entire coat on one of them over night....where does it all come from?

Hugs to all the poorly ones today - sit in the sun and take it easy.

    Have a good one all.

    Morning everyone

((hug)) for those who are poorly and anyone else who needs one.

Poor DS1 is absolutely covered in spots this morning, so I think we'll be stuck in all day. I'll try to at least get them out for a run around in the garden otherwise we'll all go stir crazy!

I've got two boxes of old books to research for Amazon/Ebay and also want to have a search for some holiday bargains :) Can't arrange anything yet as DH is starting his new job in a few weeks, but we always do a DIY booking so I want to see what accommodation I can find that would suit us. Need to do an online shop (can't take the kids to the supermarket in case we infect everyone there with chicken pox!) so will see if I can find a good code for some extra points.

Going to try the potato, onion and pork casserole from the Pauper's Cookbook for tea tonight. Got some leftover rice in the fridge so either stirfry or rice soup for us for lunch I think.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hugs to: PP, Essexgirl, Moggins and anyone else I've missed

I've clicked that link too Funkyfairy - hope she wins

No motivation to do any W*rk, so will hang around a bit I think, boss seems to have given up pushing me :) Will call the mortgage guy later and see if there's anything at all we can do. Guttingly, OH is in Edinburgh this week, so there's no-one here to give me a hug LOL

College tonight, so I think lunch will have to be a very un OS roast chicken portion from Morrisons... I'm making myself hungry!

    Love and hugs,

    PG xx

    Hi

Woke up feeling OK but saw OH and he was uncaring again.

He refused to goto work for an hour, sat crying and blaming me for everything.

I don't feel like doing anything today.

Sorry it is so negative - it is all getting me down, nothing happening on the house and OH being a pig

I am waiting on my car and I think I might have to look for somewhere to rent - I don't think I can wait for this place to sell.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

Just a quickie this morning, recovered from plumbing disaster with blocked waste from sink/dw last night. A couple of pieces of plinth are duff due to water ingress, but DH says we have some spare in the loft (if we can ever find it) so another job on the list.
Dropping car off for MOT tomorrow, think it should be OK! if not it will be DN (nephew) to the rescue.
    ((((hugs)))) and congratulations where due/needed.
You know it is a little frustrating for us fairly new ones, when you go on about what someone said at the Christmas Party and we don't know!!

    Morning!

I've just seen Shamu! :j really close up, made me jump! :rotfl: also a little Shamu! cute! Thanks for the link! I can't believe we will be there in less than 2 months now! Talking of which I must book passes/tickets etc into the parks. OH wants to go see the Kennedy space centre this time as well.

Not been on here for a few days as we are slowly but surely emptying the loft out! There is stuff up there which hasn't seen the light of day since we moved in 20 odd years ago! DD is convinced I have some trendy 1970's clobber up there:rolleyes: if I have it is probably motheaten by now! :o I now have charity boxes, freecycle boxes, amazon and ebay boxes and rubbish boxes at the ready and filling up fast.

(((((Hugs)))) to Pennypincher and OH - hope you both feel much better soon.

(((((hugs))))) also to TM and Moggins

    Have a lovely day everyone!

    Good morning everyone!!!
This is the first time in ages I've had chance to get onto MSE and I've only achieved it because college is starting an hour later today. Life has been very hectic with one thing and another... including a new man in my life.
Early days yet, but it's fun while it lasts :D

I wanted to come on and let you all know how DS got on with Blue Peter, so very sorry I haven't read the thread..... I know that if I do I'll run out of time. I hope all of you are well and that things are going well for all of you, and super ((cwtches)) for anyone who's in need.

The audition started with me getting somewhat stressed as the traffic was horrendous, there was only one parking space left in the car park, suited to fit a mini and I drive a volvo estate. Got into it OK, but reversed to let DS out (cause it was tight) and clipped the bloomin car with my mirror. Left a great bit mark down the side of the other car.... but luckily no dent. Left my details, and luckily not heared anyting since....
In a tiz got him registered, and by 9am all the children in our group were ushered away. Luckily there were some other lovely mums to chat with as we didn't see them again until 12. I have to admit it was very stressfull not being able to find out if he was ok etc.
Unfortunately he didn't get through to the next round.... but he had a fantastic time and all of them were given great goody bags to soften the blow. In fairness they were soooo good with all the Children, the only tears that were seen were of those who had obviously been pushed by star wannaby parents (And it was quite easy to see who they were) - the rest of the children had enjoyed it as a day out. I think my DS was the youngest contestant that day, but even he had a great time and didn't get at all stressed.
My DS is incredibly pleased with his achievement, and it was a fantastic day for all the children. One of the presenters (Alex) came in and chatted with the children while we waited for the results, and was incredibly patient while everyone bombarded him for photo's and sigs.
I'd best dart as I've homework to catch up on before I get to class, but love to you all, Yechyd da to my Welsh friends :D (or yakky da as some would say) and hope to catch up with you all soon,

    Morning all :hello:

Meeting with charity last night went really well. The lady who's running the youth project is a lovely person and obviously has a really special gift for connecting with teenagers with problems, but is so bad at admin it's unreal - and at sticking to a budget! I think I'm going to have my work cut out here! Anyway, she's currently blowing her monthly phone budget for the project, AND says she needs a smoothie maker and a CD player for what she wants to do with the girls at the next session (which aren't in the budget). So I have put a want ad on London Freecycle for the smoothie maker and CD player, and promised to do some research into a more cost effective way of running her mobile phone!

Today I am in meetings most of the day, and this evening I have my one evening at home this week. I really don't like being out all the time - usually it works out that I'm in three or four evenings a week, but just sometimes I have a crazy couple of weeks! Am aiming for a no spend day today, as I know I won't have another this week.

JackieO - enjoy the ghost walk. One of my university friends used to be a tour guide on York ghost walks and he would pay his mate to hide round corners wearing a dark cloak and make people wonder if they'd really seen something :rotfl:
donny-gal - I realise that if you're newish here, you might feel left out when we talk about what somebody said a long time ago. What Moggins's OH said at the Christmas party... well it really was pretty unforgiveable and I wouldn't repeat it on here. I'll PM you.
(((((Hugs))))) to all who are sick. Penny-Pincher!! - you know to text me if there's anything I can help with.

    See you later

    Love Rzl xx
